Can't believe you called that - I hope you are a gambling man and had a few quid on it as well....

Continue to win games - simple to say - harder to do. But that is the crux of the matter - the bottom teams will all fancy their chances of getting out while they are in touch with the team around them. With the exeption of probably Charlton, it's a lottery down there at the moment. Therefore - the only solution is to win games...!

The only thing that takes a little of the gloss of for me is the other results - other than that all I can say is brilliant result - let's just keep it going. Chuffed to bits....

Good news - hope it's the start of a full recovery for the lad.

You're incorrigible ...!!

Gotta say it's very slow for me at the moment. I dont think it is down to my ISP either (SKY) as all other url's load fine. That said - I rarely find too many problems with the forum - generally works well - obviously there are gremlins about tonite...!

Was Lowe a lot closer to being right than we give him credit for?

Brave post - nice to hear a balanced view and argument instead of the usual 'Lowe is bad, shoot him on sight, kill the 'bar steward'' rhetoric which is so prevalent here these days. Mind you - I guess we are now both in danger of being labelled as 'Lowe Luvvies' - stand by...! -

It was an honest, open and forthright question UP. I'm not knocking people for it and I agree with you - at the start of the season I had us down for automatic promotion and an FA Cup win - I dream just as much as the rest of us. But it just seems a little biggotted now to rubbish those exponents of the experiment - having seen it fail - when in reality, many on here were probably optimistic and supporters of it when it was announced. My only real critisism would be the amount of time the failing experiment was allowed to run - before common sence, normal football and hence, 'normal service' was resumed. -
Agree with that Nick - but in our postition, I will only breath easily once we are mathimatically safe - not before. All I'm saying is lets not get into a false sence of security on the back of good results until that security is guaranteed - let's not give the fat lass a chance to break into song. You know what it's like on here with the 'We'll walk this leaguers...!'
-
I agree - time to keep our feet on the ground. I hope that the euphoria that appears to have broken out here is not evident in the squad. They players need to know that there is still an awful lot of work to be done to turn this one around. Let's put the champagne on ice until the end of the season - if there is cause to break it out - it will taste that much sweeter. Now - sleeves up - lets work!

Whilst I accept that the 'Total Young Guns Football' experiment was an unmitigated disaster, I cannot but help think back to pre-season when many on here appeared to be in favour of it. Not only were people saying that we were going to survive in the league, but the lads could even be looking at a play off position. Was that you - and are you now all posting in hindsight? -
Who knows if we have passed the lowest point - we will only really know at the end of the season. If we are relegated, and there is still a very really posibility of that, then things could get decidedly worse. If we survive however - then I think people at the club need to take a long hard look at last season, and this season and learn. The real crime would be staying up and failing to learn from this seasons mistakes - there are some very stark lessons that are very evident.

Were there any protests today. I thought something was being organised - any pictures of that as well...???
-
It ain't broken - don't fix it. Forced changes only please...
-
Back to back victories - clean sheets - good performances. Perhaps the 'fat lass' won't get to put in a performance - I hope to hell I am made to eat humble pie come the end of the season. Well done lads - keep it going.
-
Errr I wouldn't actually humour him quite so much - perhaps his fame is ill perceived. As Terry Wogan once said to David Icke '... the audience is laughing at you, not with you...'
-
Re-focus on the fact that some fans want Lowe out - must have pretty low attention spans if it needs to be refocussed every day..!
-
So I take it your idea is to shoot him then...?
-
Perhaps you should take a look at your own arguments and comments thus far. They appear to come from a prepubescent 12 year old who has problems forming any cogent argument. Calling people scumbags purely because they have views that differ from your own does nothing to enhance the anti Lowe corner whatsoever - it makes it appear to be full of errr well in your language - total numpties.
-
That long - I had it down as a 2 minute meeting and a 'thanks and f*ck off' - job done...!
-
I totally agree with the ethos of your (and the Trusts) argument Rich - I really do. But you don't have to look too far to see that there is no way that the fans are going to collectively change their current opinions of the SMS situation. There are those that have chosen to stay away - as is thier right. The fact that the Trust is calling for LC to work with Lowe and Wilde will probably do absolutely nothing to change their stance. The fans are devided, and the only thing that will unite them overnight is 'instant success' - and as we all know that is a very hard comodity to discover. I don't think that the Board or the Trust actually understand the depth of feeling of the fans sometimes. If they consider that thier statement contains (even a short term) solution, it is somewhat worrying really.
