If you had ever watched Wotton play and then watched Gillett you would realise they are worlds apart in footballing ability!!

On the coach, could be a long journey home! Without Kelvin it would of and should of been 8 or 9-1. Thomas and perry were both given the run around, we desperately need holmes fit and playing, our width was non-existant and when you have a big lump like Lambert up front, you need crosses as his goal today showed. Now special mention to Rasiak for being awful but words cannot describe how bad Wotton was yet again. I am a big Gillett fan but it doesn't take a genius to work out he is 100% better than Wotton ever will be!! Unbelievable! Gillett, patterson in for tuesday please and sort the defence out sharp!

Just a quick one from me, behind the goal at huddersfield. Poor half, great save from Kelvin early on, thomas and perry not looking very good atal! Lambert and ras both quiet but Ras is working harder. Lallana and james ineffective, wotton - less said the better imo.

I tell you what Saints should be looking at Influenced, he doesn't back out of anything and he is certainly a better passer of the ball than Paul Wotton

Is anyone else shocked at just how much you have to pay to watch a pre-season friendly these days? The tempo isn't going to be brilliant as its about getting into shape and yet you're being charged up to a tenner! Can go down your local park and watch a friendly for nothing.

I can't believe, literally cannot believe that some people would be so glad to see him go. Do you know anything about football?!?!?! He was good last season playing for one of the worst sides in the league, with a massive weight on him when playing as the lone striker and still managed to get 10+ goals. That imo is a very good return. 1mill is cheap.

I don't think he is far too good for League one, but can see why a championship club would want him! He will be a very good player imo for that league. I don't see how that many people can say he was poor last season??? He looked lazy at the start of the season, but in the second half of the season was one of our better players, consistently.

Alrite mate, if we have another game next year, we'll have to make sure were on the same team again and this time give 100%, because it was obvious we didn't want to make the others feel bad so took it easy on them last night!

I think the pitch will be fine mate. Since the Burnley game, there has been at least 2 matches played on there that i know of. 1 was Team Solent and there cup final and the other was V.T.'s cup final where they lost in the last minute.

Best of luck to him, I think Burnley play the best football from the playoff sides. I personally would hate to see Preston promoted.

Cannot believe some people think the police started the trouble, they are there to do a job. Quite frankly, if I was a copper and some ****s were charging me to try and get at the Burnley lot, I would give them a good whack with my baton. It's not like they have any brains to lose!!

What are the away team supposed to be doing for kit? I have red Saints shorts from the season we had the black away kit. I also have some older red socks, but if we want to wear the same, what am I supposed to be buying?

I don't want to start an argument but for me, a good touch should be natural for a player if he's playing championship football. He is really quick I think, but doesn't use it atal. He bottles any 50/50 tackles and loses the ball alot more than he crosses it. Fair enough he's playing on the wrong side but then he should be trying to cross with right and when it goes out of play just look at Wotte. He shouldn't be playing for us, to call him world class is a joke.

Saw a few arguments going on between older saints fans and younger idiots. I don't care what kind of situation the club is in, we really don't need ***ts like that anywhere near our club. As for the football, Ryan Smith and world class? Ryan Smith - Blue Square Prem - YES!!! Skacel is a waste of space, so is Surman atm, along with Schneiderlin. Saga can only do so much with long hoofed balls and is never going to look good while we play like that. May aswell start building for next season in league one!

Should drop Surman, Lallana and Wotton for tuesday and play Smith, BWP and Spiderman! So glad to have Lloyd James back aswell, I think the last two games have shown, how well James has actually adapted this season. Oh yeah and Skacel was bloody awful too. Waste of space.
