"Saints considering Mauricio Pochettino" - Daily Mirror
Neilza replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
But there's no reason to expect a response? QPR changed manager because they hadnt won a game and could get no lower. We, on the other hand are playing ok, even when we don't we still managed to beat Aston Villa. I can only see negatives coming from this -
Harding is a good championship player, we'll be fine. I must admit I think Fox is stronger physically but I don't think he's great. Also as others have mentioned Harding links much more effectively with Lallana.
-
Good luck to them if that's how they want to play. I certainly wouldn't pay money week in, week out to watch my team throw themselves about, I feel embarrassed enough when Guly makes one look a bit theatrical. I'd love to see a team kick proper lumps out of them but realistically most teams in this league will fancy their chances against them as if you can get past all the bull****, they really aren't very good, hence their current league position. Thankfully we don't have to play them again this season and I look forward to seeing there results coming through on Soccer Saturday each week with a loss.

To me, regardless of if Ward is Guly's man, when he makes the decision to leave the post and close the header down, he has to go right through it. Instead he pulls his head away, put his back in and pushed to the floor and we draw when we could of quite easily won. His commitment in that one moment is awful, let alone the rest of the game.

No chance, poor player, be better to bring one of the youngsters like Doble through and give them a chance
-
I think he gets fouled alot without getting the free-kicks he deserves but it happens at both ends. A few times today Harding, Seaborne and Fonte were holding and grabbing but it wasn't given. Henderson was a dirty bastard though, he flung an arm at Seaborne in the first half and then caught him in the second, why isn't it a red card? Raise hands to the face?

IMO from a young age now, kids are coached to win, not coached to pass the ball and move. If you can pass the ball, confidently, winning will come easy.
-
Obviously Watford and the like would struggle, but they've never had a chance so you can't really use them. As for them being top 8 clubs, with the squads they currently have, they would finish in the bottom 6. Every club would be able to attract better players if they moved to the prem.

I would just love to see us win promotion away because parties in someone else's backyard are always the best!
-
Well imo the second goal is as much seabournes fault as hardings. The reason it looks like Hardings fault is because he is shuffling across as Seabourne lost his man and Harding was trying to cover both men, admittedly he doesn's deal with the cross well but Seabourne isn't good enough to for a championship winning side.

From the spurs FA cup game, love seeing the defending and players putting their bodies on the line. Firstly Niemi makes a class save, then Bridgey blocks on the line then 3 players charge the spurs shot down.

Can't you ****ing read? Its the appreciation thread, if you want to criticise and post things that make you look super, go on the other thread. For what its worth, I really liked Pardew. I can remember back to Swindon away last season when we were awful, the worst I've seen us. Everyone was making the sub gesture and I thought does he really know what he's doing?? But look at the change since then, he got rid of lots of rubbish, Lancashire, Paterson, Saga, Rasiak, Thomson, and brought in better all over the pitch. I went to games again believing we would win and saw us on three occasions destroy teams. Thanks Alan.

This isn't the right thread for it really but surely you are kidding? Drop Harding because he had a moan at ball boys? Maybe he wanted to keep a high tempo going and the ball boy was half asleep, at least next time he'll be ready! As for didn't want to make it work with Guly, it seemed as much the other round to me, Guly seemed to throw his hands up and be gesturing every time he wasn't passed the ball. Still I suppose when you're signed by Cortese you expect to get the ball!

Rumours is the big word. Don't buy this whole rumour stuff, until I see facts, it means nothing and therefore I still believe sacking Pardew was a mistake.
-
Is this really my football club or is it just some wealthy guys game, where he has all the power but not a ****ing clue on whats best?

For me the biggest problem we have is that we always play the big names regardless. Look at Brazil, they haven't taken Pato or Ronaldinho, but Frank Lampard walks into our team even though he is consistantly awful. Joe Cole must be doing his nut, he for me is a match changer. He has that little bit of skill that can unlock defences, of course sat on the bench he can't do this. Lennon hasn't beaten a full back once in two games, drop him. Heskey has looked OK, thats how bad we have been. Joe Hart, apparently is inexperienced?? If you're good enough, you're old enough, start the guy in goal. Last night Rooney was the worst player on the pitch for me, his second touch was always a tackle. He looked dis-interested and his little strop at the end was frankly pathetic. I was watching the game with my brother and mentioned how when I play football, if I'm losing and playing poorly, I get ****ed off and want to just basically hit someone hard in a 50/50 tackle. England didn't get close enough to the Algerians to make a tackle.

Deluded, simple as.

The shirt is brilliant, really nice. I quite like the shorts aswell, not too keen on the black socks but happy with no sponsor, looks good!

Seeing as I did myself go down once under a very heavy challenge, I wouldn't like to comment on that -

Would just like to say thanks to Steve Grant for organising this again, was a fantastic night. Obviously there were a few tactics from the away side to unsettle us, like making us change in a little side room off of the home dressing room. I feel these tactics brought the home side closer together however and with Eugene as captain we could do no wrong! Well done to Nickh for giving us the freedom to play football not seen around this way for a long time. Brilliant night again and well done to all involved. -
Happy for Brett, not really a fan at Blackpool though. Hopefully they get spanked next year.

Carrick is poor, leave him out along with Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock, Scott Parker, Adam Johnson, SWP, Heskey

He was there. I watched the lap on the Saints player and they were on the pitch walking round with the players up close and he was there.
