Just saw the FLS, never a penalty, didn't get within half a foot of his hand from their camera angle. Still, pretty academic to all but those betting on a clean sheet, and Davis. Great performance though! Lallana and Connolly really are a class act, would like to see them link up all season long.

I got stuck in Weston Super Mare last season for the Plymouth game, and ended up watching it in a sports bar with a Saints-supporting couple - once ran into an older Draper Tools-shirt wearing fan in the South of France too. Was wearing a Le Tiss shirt at the same time, we had no idea how to react from opposite sides of the crowd, so did an awkward little mexican wave thing. Met one in St Lucia as well, our bus driver had a teddy with a Saints shirt on. So yes, we do get everywhere!

Might not have played enough games for Tunisia - got a red card in their African Cup of Nations which meant they didn't progress, and refused to travel to play Morocco after a club vs country row - maybe that's what's holding it up as we have to prove he deserves one anyway?

Got to be Kelvin for me, Bart makes me nervous every time he makes a save - he just pushes the ball back in front of him instead of trying to get it to the side or anything, that'd cost us a fair few goals over the season.

This for me - I mean, who is first choice CM pairing for Man U? It depends on the oppositions, fitness, how they've performed in training, etc - they'll all get game time, and which two work best together will probably emerge throughout the season, rather than being immediately obvious.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher just been offered a new contract at Blackpool - certainly wouldn't say no to signing him, I think he's been pretty quality whenever I've seen him play - would be short term though I guess, not that many wingers still going strong past 30.

Happy Birthday Ron. I never lived in Southampton but started to support them in the 60s because Ron was my idol. A season ticket and trips down from London followed and later my son became an avid supporter too with a season ticket. 2 Kent based fans today all due to Ron's magnifence in the penalty box.
