  1. I've got 2 tickets available at £20 each - sms me on 07769 548186 if you're interested.
  2. Just noticed it had already been posted, but oh well. They can't - if they lose today and then win the three after that they'll be on 40 points. Aston Villa if they lose on Monday then win the next two will be also on 40. The two then play each other on the last day, so they can't both surpass 42.
  3. I haven't read this whole thread/site recently so not sure if this has already been posted, but I've just realised we could actually be mathematically safe from relegation this weekend. If we win, Villa and Wigan both lose, the most they can get is 41 points (given they have to play each other on the last day), and we'd be on 42. After we played West Brom earlier this season I declared we were going down - would be great to confirm being wrong against them!
  4. After 7 games, I thought we'd made a terrible mistake with the change. After 8 - I still feel we've taken an unnecessary risk that has yet to show signs of paying off. I thought both the results and performances were looking better under NA and how we've played under MP against the 'weaker' teams really worries me. I felt far more optimistic and happy with the club under NA - I'd love to be proved wrong, but I do not think MP is a better manager and I feel we took a stupid risk changing mid-season - if we stay up, I feel it will be despite this, not because of it. Maybe I'm being overly negative though, and of course I hope I am!
  5. I do feel Gaston has been below average all season (I've seen most of the games) other than 30 minutes against Everton and bits and pieces elsewhere. One of my main worries is that his control seems really poor compared to those of say Cork, Rickie or Adam - I've always felt that was one of the key parts of football, and the ball just bounces off him so often. On top of that, his little flicks or through-balls are usually poorly-weighted and his dribbling skill hasn't been up to scratch - simply, he does give the ball away an awful lot of the times he gets it I feel. I really hope he improves and that it is a culture/fitness issue, but right now, I'd say he was only worth his place in the side as the bench is generally not of great quality. The strange thing is, which he really hasn't shown himself to be worth £12m so far, but if he'd been signed on a free, I'd be more likely to be calling for him to be dropped/got rid of. As he was more expensive (and the underlying reasons for that), I'm more willing to support him being given time and trusting in it being a fitness/culture issue than a talent one. Basically though, just disappointed so far, but yet to have hope totally crushed that he'll come good!
  6. I feel absolutely sickened by this. I'd been enjoying my football these last 12 games more than anytime since 2003-04 and this has completely ruined it. Nigel was easily my favourite person in football - I've been going to Saints games for 17 years now and I'm very tempted to go support whoever hires him next instead! Hope the next guy is great, but even hiring Mourinho would've ****ed me off if it meant sacking a popular, honest man who was doing a terrific job! I'm worried that the culture he helped create will collapse and see Shaw, Lambert, Punch, Clyne, etc etc leave. We deserve to go down, though I can't bring myself to hope we do. Definitely singing One Nigel Adkins all of Monday - then on to supporting the new guy I guess...
  7. More overall I think - I was sat with the Chelsea fans and the people in front of us, to the side of us and behind us were all Saints fans! Strangely one of them (just one) got thrown out for it...
  8. I believe (and may be mistaken) that there is a provision in FSMA2000 that allows for Community Benefit schemes to be exempt from that sort of regulation. Would imagine that's what they're doing. Been a fair while since I've had any cause to have a cursory glance at financial regulations though.
  9. A bloke a few seats away from me kept shouting Choc Ice at him all game. Didn't hear the chant mentioned in the thread, but very sad to hear racist comments still being used at all from our fans, or anyone for that matter.
  10. I'm missing this game due to being on holiday - at half time, I went down to the pool in despair, just returned to see Puncheon score - I'm going back down!
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK3x2DOoJIc Don't know if anyone's done this yet (suspect they have), but this is definitely my song for him! Can't wait to see him play!
  12. 14-16 - I trust that we'll sign a good CB before August is done (we were never going to get many points this month anyway) and a top winger, and those will be enough to keep us safe, though probably not by much!
  13. Got in on WillHill for Plymouth with a 1 goal handicap earlier, think they are still offering it for those looking to get in on the action.
  14. I actually just plain couldn't get it to work last night, trying to find out friendly updates and it just kept sending me back to the homepage. Which is about as useless as it comes. Waiting for phone app and I'll just use that, if it works.
  15. Fingerprint scanner - put all 6 fingers on your left hand against the screen to get an account?
