  1. Lee Bowyer. Yes everyone hates him but he has what it takes. He is a steadier person these days and with his experience it could just be the answer. He has already said he is likely to leave Brom at the end of the season so an approach for a loan and then a decent contract may entice him. We have got to start thinking 'outside the box' in lots of different ways.
  2. So having read all the posts so far is it fair to say we don't fancy him????
  3. ABH which is S47 is not that minor, though less serious than S18 or S20. If it was just a few bruises etc it would be mre likely S39. If he has been charged then more than likely guilty. You never see a not guilty man convicted but you do see plenty of miscarriages of justice..............................ie plenty of guilty men acquitted
  4. I was at Matt Le Tiss's testimonial dinner at St Marys. It was the day of the England Greece qualifier where Beckham dug us out of a hole with a last minute free kick. Me and my mate watched the game in the pub drinking ale and eating nothing. We then went back to our hotel and changed into our suits before heading to the ground. My table was next to Claus, Steve Backley and their respective partners. We then continued to continue our drinking before eating a nice dinner. Anyway by the time Matt came to our table I was steaming. I was overwhelmed to see him and start struck. Just as I reached out to shake his hand I started vomiting and had to reach for a pint glass to catch it all!! I didn't succeed and a lot went down my jacket. Matt was great about it and Steve Backley's missus sprayed me with her perfume coz I stunk so much!! Oh and I saw RL in the toilets and told him what I thought of him!!
  5. You'll never see a not guilty man convicted but you do see plenty of miscarriages of justice.....................................
  6. Clearly someone who looks at those supporters, and I wont say say Saints supporters, through rose tinted glasses. Let's hope they get all they deserve and if guilty, they are hammered and not allowed back to St Marys. My best quetsimate is they are all guilty......................................otherwise clearly they would not be gracing court. You see plenty of miscarriages of justice but never a not guilty man convicted.
  7. If it was he who was street bailed I cant see him having much involvement. If he was one of the main aggressors plod would have wanted to secure forensic evidence from him and also question him. There would have been nothing to stop them arresting him and taking to hospital whilst under arrest so they could preserve everything and then interview him later. Now I know plod can be seriously incompetent at times but not doing this would have serious implications possibly in an investigation especially as the aggreived is described as serious.
  8. are there tickets available on the day?
  9. Yeah that did make me laugh. What a c*ock!
  10. That save wasn't at the Chapel End
  11. Why is it they close the ST sales? Surely if the club are trying to maximise revenue streams then ST's should be available at anytime and the cost is pro-rata? Is there some sort of leagure rule? On another note what happened with memberships?
  12. I have not read the article but I have heard the Old Bill battered his door down. Sounds to me thay had a search warrant. Now if they did and I am speculating, they would have had corrobotrated information about him and drugs. And again this is speculation but would the Old Bill go to all that trouble for someone that was just a user???? I'll leave you all to speculate on where he is on the 'food chain' of drugs users and suppliers.......................................
  13. How about buying tickets on mass from Carlisle. Then when everyone is in the ground and they see they are Saints supportes we get moved to empty seats?
  14. A few years ago whilst we were both still in the Prem there was a big altercation at an overground station close to The Valley - Maze Hill seems to ring a bell. The subsequent enquiry was quite high profile and several fans from both sides were lifted. It has rumbled on since then. From viewing that video it appears a majority of juvenile Saints Fans should grow up. Or accept the consequences if they get slapped by the Old Bill.
  15. Charlton scraped a draw with nine earlier.........................COYR's!!
  16. The problem is if he keeps going the way he's going another club might come sniffing. I know we dont need the money etc etc but at the end of the day money talks...................so how much would we let him go for and be happy with if that scenario happens. Like all of ayou I dont want it to happen but every player has a price
  17. I thought that too. I even re-wound the Sky plus a couple of times. If you listen carefully......................and I mean carefully it could be pitch!!!
  18. For the first time i'm listening on the radio link..............I'll never do it again as my addrenalin means I wont sleep!!! SORT IT OUT SAINTS!!!!!
  19. Whatever I try it just wont work. As for online support..............forget it, they're rubbish and the link never works!!
  20. I've paid my nine quid and tried to log on...........................it's ribbish so dont waste your money. Wish I hadnt been such a mug!!!
  21. I was proud yesterday.......................until about twenty idiots decided to have a pop at the Oldham fans and I was having to make sure I didnt get hit by something. I dont care what people say there is no excuse and whilst the club may be making us proud fans (If that's what they call themselves) like that are not.
  22. I refereed Woking youth a few years ago in the Southern Youth League. Baker was their manager. I knew of his Saints links. Anyway as the old adage goes it's sometimes best not meet your hero. Even though he wasnt a 'hero' of mine that adage is very true He came accross as a nasty piece of work and clearly not a role model to the youth team he was managing.
  23. Can you get tickets on the day? For some reason SFC cant get their act together over memberships...................anyone any ideas? BTW...............I dont live in Bangkok but in Cheshire, that's 'up north' and it's actually quite nice. All be it it rains all the time and is miles from the real 'Theatre of Dreams!'
  24. I have read with interest some of the comments on here about Pompey. I also know how we all suffered having gone through what we did. Whilst never wanting to see them better us or be above us I hope that that they do survive and we go on to be the better club based on football alone and not through a financial demise. Their fans will be going through hell and whilst it could be argued the club are getting their just desserts the fans are not. So for what it's worth good luck Pompey, I hope you you all pull through, we both end up in the Premiership, we beat you twice a year, finish above you and we both survive.
