Think our best finish was '84 wasn't it when we finished 2nd to liverpool And we got knocked out of the cup at Highbury by Everton?

Good article which I enjoyed reading. There is a lot in what you say and in five years we may have other clubs following our example and aspiring to be like us!

Took my lad to his first game today. It was that loud he was in tears and we had to move. Hope it's not put him off!

I live up this way and regularly go to OT. If you pick the side of the stadium that goes to the Trafford Centre there is loads of parking in the industrial estate that you'll pay about a fiver for. Given the size of the place getting in, parking and getting out again is relatively easy.

No we won't

I do and it is and will be fine. I'm in the Wigan end as typical saints they couldn't deal with selling the tickets efficiently. Same on Wednesday when I'm in the Stretford end.

Might just support whoever he takes over next to be honest! If stuff like this is the price of success then I'd rather be in League 1. Otherwise what the hell are you supporting? Really sad day. This

I think this will be a watershed year for football and attendances at grounds. The economy is stumbling towards another recession and with ever iincreasing prices and a fairly poor product I believe football may pay a price. How much only time will tell. I live in the north west and Utd, City, Liverpool and Everton all have tickets readily available. Ticket prices for OT are bonkers in particular and more people will have to take a pragmatic view on football. I consider myself relatively fortunate in that I have a reasonable salary but even now I am starting to think where I will draw the line in relation to games i attend. With the new TV deal coming next season players need to start taking a hit and supporters need to start being supported, otherwise we may start to see even more empty stadia.

I am trying to gently nudge my 5 year old in the right direction and he now wants a saints team poster. Unfortunately I can't seem to find one on line in the saints store. Anyone got any ideas? Standard stuff when I was his age!!

Fulham 1 Saints 1 - Post Match Reactions & MotM
bangkoksaint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
If we struggled today, SRL is off form and GR doesn't like the rain then I predict we will be battered at Stoke. I so hope I am wrong but having seen the Sunderland performance and read what I have today stoke is not the place we wanna really go right now -
Some defenders would be nice............or are we the only ones that can see that?

The weather and the risk to Wednesdays game

Cheers everyone -
Fox is shi@e. I posted this on here when we signed him that he wasn't great and he's pulled the wool over numerous managers eyes before being seen for the player he is. I'm from winsford where he is from. He spends too much time in the De Bees pub drinking and smoking when back up north. When I watch him play I think its little wonder he never gets beyond Lallana because he simply doesn't have the engine to do it.

Will be travelling from well up north for Wednesdays game, leaving tomorrow. I've looked at the forecast but they are fairly useless. Is it really bad in god's country? Any updates appreciated.

This. Did exactly the same for my five year old and it's fine. Will also give him some years use

A bit like me. I lived in Andover and we were closest and cheapest team to get to................do I ever wish my dad had put his hand in his pocket and taken me to London?

With all that is going on at our club, where the rumour mill is doing overtime and nobody really knows what's going on it made me think of what the club means to me. My first memory is in the late 70's maybe early 80's when we had probably one of our best periods. Since then it has been at best I would say average. Jobs, girls, homes and holidays all come and go but what stays constant for any supporter is his or her football club. At the moment I miss the feel good factor, I don't care about the league we are in I care about how I feel about SFC. If that Is in the Prem where we can compete then fine - but if its in a lowere league where I have that feel good factor again, I can easily get tickets and I'm not ripped off then fine - because for me the two previous seasons where far better and infinitely more enjoyable than this one is or will be.
