Cup has cost us big style. Players not bothered and our season will fade. They have nothing really to get themselves up for apart from maybe the players looking to go to Brazil. Let's hope with the players that will leave in the summer we don't do a Fulham or WBA

I'm a member of Stoke City (yes I know....) and they have been bombarding me with their latest kit sale which is buy one get one free. Seeing as their kit is like virtually every other Adidas kit I wonder if we will have one?? Just aside from that and think what you like about Stoke but a few on here have talked about us being a club for the fans and a community club. Well my experience of Stoke is it's just that. Tickets are well priced, they have these regular kit deals, it's owned by a local businessman and his family and they ploughed that £200K in to giving free coach travel to their away fans. Maybe we could learn something??

I thought Bernard went some seasons ago after we got relegated.......Infact he may even have retired!! I'd like to see Barnard added to that list of those out Sorry should have related to this post! I'd be happy with Outs Osvaldo (£15m), Shaw (Chelsea £20m + Bertrand), Hooiveld, Guly, Fox, Bernard, Forte, Mayuka, Sharp, Isgrove, Gazza In Bertrand (Included in shaw deal), Thomas Vermaelen (think his contract is up at the end of the season at arsenal and has said he is leaving), Asmir Begović or Jack Butland, Christian Benteke, Demba Ba (nominal fee), Éver Banega or Erik Lemela

Would you change positons with Sunderland?
bangkoksaint replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
Yes. Said it before and say it again. Is this what I have to look forward to as a saints supporter? If mid table is success then give me relegation and promotion. -
Good post by someone who clearly thinks about football and writes something reasonable. As I said in another thread I'd swap with you anytime and risk our safety because I think there is a lot in what you say and you'll survive. Good luck after the cup game!

Great thread. Yes I'd roll the dice take at least one final and hope we survive. If our future means no finals and mid table mediocrity I'd take being a yo yo club -

Very fair post I think and possibly about time someone asked the question. If he's good enough he's old enough...........which clearly he is but at the same time the criticism and questions asked are justified at the moment. I don't know the lad and don't pretend to but is it possible that his head has been turned and he believes he can walk on water? I hope he doesn't forget he needs and continues to need to work hard.

Don't know how to but if I did I'd post that avatar with man shaking his head...................unbelievable

I've been to a few corporates at SB but not for about 7 years. It was always with bankers and was clearly a case of them being seen with the right people and at the right place. Also who could quaff the most pink champagne was also high on the agenda. I enjoyed it but was there for the footy. That said though give me 'normal' supporters any day of the week.

Clearly not cut out for a career in teaching. As thick as a whale omelet.

Watching the Capital Cup tonight made me think whether it's worth just buying tickets for the ties even if I don't go in the hope it will entitle me to a final ticket should we get there. I did in the JPT and that got me a ticket to Wembley. Has anyone else done this?

Anyone named their pet with a Saints related name?
bangkoksaint replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
I called a cat 'Tissier'. When I went to the vet my then other half tried to explain the significance. From then on the nurse always called out 'Matthew Le Tissier........'. Very embarrassing! -

Ticket Details: Sunderland Away - League Cup
bangkoksaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Sums our club and football up really. Everyone seems to be pulling themselves off over Saints at the moment but the bottom line is we don't matter and if you think otherwise you're deluded. To be honest if Cortese could do without us he probably would. -

How about using some of that £200K to compensate? Unfortunately this just about sums up how football fans are considered and thought of. -

Harsh. And as stated if they have no flask they have no evidence. Also have they got any witnesses ie any of the persons around you - which I doubt. Therefore the only evidence as things stand is THIS POST. There is no way the CCTV can tell what you're drinking. Deny it all and get this post wiped.

God 4years ago? Remember that game. I went into the rugby club next door and blagged loadsa free sarnies!! Didn't Radi get our goal with a header in virtually injury time?

Just met Kevin Davies tonight whilst he was presenting the new kits to my lads football team at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. Remember him so well when he played for us and his crucial goal v Millwall in the 2003 cup run. Not to mention the great goal v Everton at Goodison Park. I'd like to say what a great ambassador he is for football and professional footballers. He interacted with people, had his photo taken with all the kids and watched on for over an hour as they trained and played. If only more players were like him.
