  1. and a big thanks from me! Imported into iCal in less than half a second and is now on MobileMe and my MacBook. All done in less than a minute. Deep joy! Beware the date changes though. QPR away and Ipswich home have been moved.
  2. That is fine and a perfectly valid view. I just don't agree with it. What I do object to are the puerile, snide posts deriding the personalities involved in the Trust. Just typical of the sort of attitude that has affected this board like a cancer over the last year or so. Rant over, ..... and breathe. Back to football.

Exactly. I noticed that Poortvliet said "Many teams in England play 4-4-2, so I believe the full-back spot should be where attacks start from. You need your best players there to build moves and it helps if they can also play in midfield." OS Source I always thought Surman was going to be key there, but young James looks the real deal at RB. We look really strong down the right, possibly for the first time in a couple of seasons. There are concerns about injuries, but at least the Manager is aware of the importance. This was not always the case with Burley!
  4. Slightly surprised at the news that Davis is for sale, but needs must. Hope we get a decent fee for him if he does go. Not yet convinced Bart has his confidence back, but at least in the Stoke game he remembered the new gameplan requires him to roll the ball out to one of our players, rather then hoof the ball upfield like KD.
  5. The one piece of news that ALL Saints fans will welcome. Never thought I would see this day. Brilliant. Still, will find it hard to watch him tackle for at least the first half dozen matches! His injury seemed to be the defining moment in our downwards slide. Let's hope this is the defining moment in our return.
  6. All those self-righteous mocking critics should put their money where their mouths are and join up and change it. Minty at least puts a case for not renewing. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with those running the Trust, but to snipe at it in such a puerile fashion shows a certain amount of moral bankruptcy.
  7. From you, that is a ringing endorsement.
  8. Usual standard of reporting. IMHO the key word in that is "could".
  9. I think our midfield and forwards have enough about them to score a couple of goals, but our defence is very much a work in progress. I am confident that Killer will whip them into shape, but just not straightaway. 3 - 2 to Cardiff then.
  10. I have been told that there was a meeting yesterday between the player, management and medical team. He has allegedly passed his medical and they are now negotiating a contract of some sort. He is already registered by the club, so can play on Saturday. All the above is second hand, so maybe one of the ITK types can confirm, or deny the details?
  11. SaintsTrust FAQ There you go. In a nutshell.
  12. I know it is fashionable on here to deride them, but if more people joined and took an active part it would at least mean the club would need to take account of their views. Whether they (For that, read Rupert!) would ever take any notice is another question entirely. For my part, I have rejoined as it at least gives me the moral high ground in any moaning session. Oh and I got a new membership card as well and get to drink in the upstairs at the King Alfred on matchdays.......
  13. At the moment the youngsters play well and for each other. In short, team ethic. Playing someone who doesn't want to even be there is questionable at best and could cause long term damage to morale. I know there is the example of a certain Portuguese player at a Manchester club, but we are talking about the harsh realities of a broke Championship club here.
  14. A bit like a car crash really. There is no simple easy answer, more a combination of factors all coming together to create the inevitable conclusion.
  15. Well, having been away until today and having missed the West Ham game, I am looking forward to the Stoke game.
