If anyone ITK really thinks this Tony Adams talk is for real we should get a big group of us down the Stadium with some Banners to let the Board Know how we feel about the idea!

Does anyone know when Matt Le Tissier is meeting to have his "Talk" with the board? Has he met with them yet? Surely he will guide them away from a really bad appointment like Tony Adams.

Thats what I have been thinking and hoping. As long as it happens before any appointment is made though. I was really worried about the TA rumour but I have now come to the conclusion its a wind up, it must be! I'd love to see Matt be involved with the club in some capacity. I am sure they can find a place for him somewhere in the new structure, so he can be involved and still do his Sky duties.

If nothing else I hope Matt tells them to avoid Tony Adams for manager like the plague

NO f**king way to Tony Adams! I am officially starting to get worried now! Surely this is BS? They cant be that stupid! He would not unite the fan base and would be an even worse option than keeping Wotte. Seriously I would have rather they kept Wotte than bringing in Adams, he would be the wrong choice and a massive step in the wrong direction. Everyone should bombard the club with calls and messages already just incase its true! Somebody ITK put my mind at rest, this has to be a load of rubbish right?

I know this is very unlikely to be true but shouldn't this be a sticky just incase?

Your reply about Pinnacle being 90% done is exactly what I said to my friend after hearing the news, but I just thought I would post the news anyway. As RedAndWhite91 has said "I want them to stay in business, but just as a weaker, less smug team. With no m/billionaire owner." That pretty much sums up my feeling towards them. Its been very difficult 4 years for Saints and to focus on Pompey now is a little silly as we have rebuilding to do. But I would like to see us back in the rightful place, which is comfortably above them in the league. I have a some what contradictory attitude towards Pompey, I think it is stupid to hate a person because of where they come and don’t mind a bit of friendly rival. But I do get passionate about my city, I don’t care that Portsmouth have Gun Wharf or the Spinnaker Tower, Southampton is a much better place just through location and smell So I would hate to see any big money deal for their club happen. I hope it does fail just to put the Pompey fans who where having street parties when we went into admin back in their place. I would also love to see a Lowe/Marc Jackson bid for them, as I believe that to be more realistic takeover for their city Like I said I have a some what contradictory attitude towards Pompey, they are ok but we are just better

Either Strachan or Keegan and I would e very happy I know these options sound a little far fetched but a billionaire taking saints over always seemed to be far fetched and look at us now. Wotte maybe be a nice bloke and maybe he hasn't been given a fair chance but he isn't the man to take us forward. This is a chance to make a clean break from the old and start a fresh. Also we need a manager that can attract decent players to this level of football and as others have said I don't think Wotte is going to be able do that.

oh FFS I wish Fry would just take this billionaires money already, it the best interest of the club. If every thing is in place he should just get on with it instead of stalling on a last minute offer that might not happen. I mean considering he keeps saying how at times its looks bleak and it has been difficult trying to sell this club. I would take the money and be done with it! Agreed, its far too good to be true and will not happen. Good things don't happen to Saints. I would love to be wrong though but doubt that I am in this case

I can't see a deal going through in the next 48 Hours. It seems unreal to say it but It really does look like we will no longer exist come Friday

Lets face it now, whatever the reason that Pinnacle haven’t been able to complete the deal. Whether it’s because they really don’t have the cash or it really is some legal issue we don’t know about it. The deal is dead and isn’t going to happen! Surely they could have sorted any deal breaker by now or accepted the league will not change their mind? I really hope I am wrong but it is now one week on from the initial deals supposed due completion. It has now been another very familiar long week of nothing happening, as is the usual for any potential Saints takeover.

Oh dear me! Its another depressing takeover day gone wrong. I'm so hacked off. Against my better judgement I got sucked in and I really thought it would happen today. I should have stayed true to my normal cynical belief that nothing good ever happens to Southampton anymore.

I would love this rumour to be true, but is it really likely? Keegan would definitely generate a fantastic buzz in the city and he has a good record getting lower league teams promoted. He may not be the best manager in the world but sometimes manager click with certain clubs. Just like Alan Ball did for us. Alan Ball did a great job for us, but he never really had much success in management else where. We didn’t expect as much as say Man City did from him but he more than delivered what we wanted in his brief time as manager here. Bally also just gave the whole of Southampton a lift and I think Keegan would have much the same effect. For some reason he just clicked here and was loved by the fans much like Keegan would be. It does seem a real long shot right now as the deal for the takeover has not even been completed. It is probably as likely as my other choice, Strachan coming back. Either of the two would be a brilliant appointment and a massive step in the right direction. I'll have to dream for now I guess!

Do we actually have a new owner yet? Nothing is signed yet it could still not happen. It’s been very quiet since Pinnacle entered the exclusivity period. As much as I want this to happen and to have a new owner perhaps whoever they are decided not to revealed themselves in case they choose not to go through with it? I know they loose £500,000 but with Saints I would not be surprised if it still didn’t happen. Now there is supposed Swiss interest if this deal does fall through and you can bet that will be the next failed takeover to follow this one and so on. Sorry I have become a cynic over the last few years of waiting for a takeover to happen. I just want it signed and sealed this has dragged on far too long. If they do sort it then out then I’ll start the guessing but at that point I would guess the new owner will probably make themselves known to the fans. I think it will be anyone we will have heard of before although it would be nice to be wrong!

On tonight's performance I would say we are going down. It just wasn't good enough. I hope they prove me wrong though.
