It would be a joke if pompey are allowed the 7m in spending money to buy new players when they can't even pay the ones they have now, surely the Premier League will not allow it?

Maybe they could wipe off their name off the FA Cup because it was won with dirty money? Now that would be funny, all that they achieved by spending money they never had would be taken from them as well... lol

My concern is just how much profit can ML make from us being a Premier league side? Thats even if we get there any time soon. I mean if we do get there will he just take the TV money and no longer invest? I reckon he must see opportunitly outside of the team and in city business as well. My hope is that they both with fall in love with Southampton and never want to leave.

ok so its good that Antonio has a extended loan but come on... tweeting a signing is happening at 11am and getting everybodies hopes up for a Ricky Lambert like signing then just revealing an extended loan for a player already at the club is very cruel.... boring I know its early days but will we sign a quaility new player for keeps? or will everyone coming in just be loans again?

Another 3 points which moves us in the correct direction and a much better day for football on the South Coast. Today the result have gone the right way and with it comes a little festive cheer for the better half of Hampshire Long may it continue!

It hardly ever snows in Southampton, and if it does snow it hardly ever really lays. February just gone was a one off. Today is a typical for the area, snow starts to settle and builds your hopes up and then it starts raining again

Yeah thats right, but I think it was changed to the orange ball half way through the game when we where 4-0 up. After it was changed to the orange ball Liverpool got two back to make it 4-2. It was a good game though!

I have always thought Rafa would turn it around given time but Rafa deserves the sack for this performance. I mean if he cant get his team to get a result against those bunch of jokers he has major problems. They took up where the sun doesn’t shine today and that is embarrassing especially against those inbreds. Harsh but true!

I think Leeds fans should have good reason to believe they will beat us, even with the slight wobble of their form recently. They still haven’t lost recently and its been even longer since they lost at home this season. They must go into the game as favourites, I just hope for 1, it’s not called off because of the weather and 2, we can cause a shock and take all 3 points. I think a point is the most I can see us to getting, a bit like when we played Charlton away earlier this season when they were in good form. But Saints have been full of surprises this season so far, so maybe there is another nice surprise around the corner for us. Who knows!?

This result has made my night , its been a good week so far. Lets hope for more of the same from both Saints and Pompey at the weekend

I was just listening to his comments on the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8410648.stm and all I can say to Paul Lambert is "cry me a river pal " I mean come on this sort of thing happens all the time in football that’s why we love it, well apart from when we hate it when it happens to our team. But that’s the beauty of the game, one week it goes for you the next week it doesn’t!

I didn't have a good feeling about this one tonight, sounds like we are heading out. I hope I am wrong though. Wembley will just have to be in the play offs final now.

Great result today, the only thing that took the shine off today’s result for me was pompey getting an injury time goal to earn a them point But the main thing is a Saints win with Leeds up next, it’s going to be tough but I would not rule out a win with the confidents being high going into the game.

I hope Saints dont make this harder than it needs to be... I hope we can get a few more goals and make it less tense as the 90 minutes + gets nearer!
