His heart will not be in it. His heart lies with Bournemouth. I'd rather have Adkins back if we are going for championship managers. In fact I am not liking any names being thrown about on here. Sounds like slim pickings on the replacement front.

I've got nothing earth shattering to add to this discussion really but just thought I'd share my thoughts. I can't help thinking that if Pochettino doesn't want to be here, then there really is no point keeping him against his will. If he was forced to carry on working as the Saints manager and his heart was no longer in it then I think it would be even worse for the team than letting him go. If he does want out and the players use that as there excuse to leave then so be it. The same could be said for keeping Adam and Luke if they don't want to be here. Obviously I would love to see him and all the players stick around and hope the board can do they can to persuade them all to stay and buy into there new vision for the club. But if Pochettino wants out then he isn't worth keeping. If the club does find itself looking for a new manager then I hope they can find someone who actually wants to stick around long term. I know its unlikely but it would be good if we could find a good manager who is not going to use us as a stepping stone to further their career. I know, I know, where do you find a person like that in todays game?? Its a shame Matthew Le Tissier doesn't want to be a manager. Former hero player turned coach very rarely works out. We all know it didn't go to well for Shearer with Newcastle and I know that its very unlikely it would work for Matt either. It just would be refreshing to have someone who actually genuinely cared for the club manage it, but I guess that doesn't really happen anymore in the modern game and can't be expected or even hoped for anymore.

I wonder how much that is costing the club?

Do we know for sure what they are giving the club? Is that really all we can expect they will be giving us? If so thats worse then aap isn't it?

I did want them to win the league until I found out that pompey might benefit from it. Now I want anyone but Liverpool to win it.

Paulo Gazzaniga in goal doesn't fill me with much confidence, but maybe this is his moment to shine? Seeing how free scoring city are at home it could be a rugby score if he does not play at his best . Still, It would be nice to at least come away with our positive goal difference intact.

Can they actually afford to sack him?

An interesting interview. Seems pretty clear we can expect to see our young players sold off as soon as they show any promise. We all pretty much suspected Luke Shaw would be off in the summer, although very disappointing its no great surprise. The question is how many other players will we lose while we wait for the building up of the commercial arm of organisation. It could take a while as there is a huge gap that needs bridging. I know this sounds a more realistic vision for Saints than the Cortese vision but I sure do miss his stubborn approach regarding selling of our talent. It felt great sticking two fingers up at the big boys when they came in to bid for our players. I just hope the sponsors the board have have lined up turn out to be one of the best deals financially the club has ever received.

It would be great if we could bring through a top keeper from our youth team. When was the last time we had a keeper come through the ranks to become a first team regular?

A return to the Rupert Lowe philosophy then? I know we can't help it if players want to leave but I would hope our new board will do all it can to keep hold of the players the club develop. Otherwise what is the point in developing them in the first place? We could end up just become a feeder club for the big four and the reverse situation of what Les Reed said he didn't want to see happen to the lower league clubs. With that philosophy in place we essentially would become Chelsea or Arsenals B team. Lowe's chairmanship ended up with him just seeing the pounds signs in his eyes any time we produced a talented player. I hope that doesn't happen with this new board. I know we have to be realistic, but I would hope we at least try to put up a fight in keeping our talent longer than a season or two. Otherwise why bother at all?

Those parachute payments seem to have been going on far too long for my liking! Its a shame that had to change the rules and increase the length of them, just so they could help them out.

It does appear that he has completely lost the plot. I didn't know about all plagiarisim stuff but I did hear about him head butting someone and it getting caught on camera. I can't decide if he really has gone nuts or if he is just doing the "I'm Sorry" thing as some kind of weird performing art act. I know what would be the point in acting crazy when the world already thinks you are crazy but who knows what goes through the mind of an actor? I laughed out loud when the guy in the first video mentioned not being able to forgive him about the Indiana jones and he didn't even blink haha.

Trying to think of something positive to say... Struggling to find anything. But here goes... Both our home and away kit suck and would not have looked right at Wembley anyway. Hopefully next year when we are back in stripes we will get there! ... That's all I've got... Fuming right now!
