Come 11.23 pm tonight the time sponsored by Sammy the Saints will be 11.23 precisely

I understand that. I really just meant why could it not have been the other way around. I can't see Pulis being a player that will have much of an imapct on our season but Frazer hopefully will. Do you think Pardew is hinting that Pulis has a part to play now then? maybe he has seen something about his attitude he likes.

Sorry I meant its good to hear... Also I noticed we had a trialist called McGlashan in the team. Anyone know who he is? I guess he is a potential young prospect, not one for the first team just yet?
-
Its good to here we are still in the market for new players. I laughed at this bit... "We do need a couple more, obviously we have lost Frazer which was a massive blow, and we almost lost Ant (Pulis) tonight, but his shoulder went back in - but two dislocations in pre-season isn't good." why did his shoulder go back in ok and not Frazers. Also, surely Pardew isn't thinking of using Pulis for the first team?

What I would really like to know is if there are any trialist out with the Squad then? Does anyone know? We have heard rumours that Papa Waigo might be with the squad but has anyone heard anything about any other possible new first team players? Twitter does not seem to be very forthcoming with any such information. I am guessing if there are any players out there they don't want to alert potential rival clubs so they are keeping it under wraps.

I must admit I was hoping for more signings by now. But you have probably hit the nail n the head there. I do think in general the team lacks pace at the moment. I was hoping we would sign Antonio obviously that has not happened so I am hoping they have someone better lined up to replace him. Also as you have suggested we do need cover for Lambert.

I predict that he will start to show some promise and just as we start to praise him he'll get injured. Probably before the by the end of August and thats being optimistic. The we we hear he will be out until January. As January approaches we will he how he is getting match fit and almost ready for the first team. He'll play his first reserve match and after 20 minutes or so he'll take a knock and be injured again and that will be the end of his season. I REALLY hope I am wrong for his and Saints sake but we seem to make a habit of paying the wages of injury prone players.I just would have thought in his case it might have been better to cut our loses and spend those wages on getting in another player less injury prone.

Most long range free kicks that are on target. Don't get me wrong I am glad we have him but that just seems to be a weakness. If you look back at a lot of last seasons goals that we conceded there where quite a few long range free kicks that went in.

Sorry I meant "Does he need extra practice with his wall organisation? Or is it just bad luck?"
-
Davis always seems to get beaten by long range Free kicks.Do he need extra practice with his wall organisation? Or is it just bad luck?

What chance is there of a HMRC appeal being rejected?
-
So his contract doesn't expire until 29 August. If they really don't rate him why not just pay him off the difference and be done with it?

Here's another rumour for Friday http://www.betfairfootball.com/world-cup/rumour-mill-southampton-to-sign-750k-striker/ probably recycled news from last season, but I'd like to see it happen

Nope, I haven't a clue who he is either. -
I am intrigued , but I will not get my hopes up for any thing major. It will probably end up being underwhelming news. Who post on here that works at the stadium? Can't you give us a little hint whether to be excited or underwhelmed?
-
I think that will be the moment we look back on and say if only... The germans will re group in the second half and the game will not flow like it did at 2-1. I think that is our chance gone... I hope I am totally wrong and we win it 4-2

can't believe that wasn't given... disgusting !!!!

Any time before Pre season would be good. Talking of which has any one heard where we are going for pre season? Are we just playing reading and few other lower league English teams. I know there was some talk of Switzerland but that seems to have gone quiet. So any news at all? We do need some new faces but its important to get the pre season right as we all know using are first 10 games to get it right this season isn't an option.

I love the episode info at the side of the ITV player Football legend Matt Le Tissier and Peter Jones join James Corden as he presents an alternative look at the World Cup with Abbey Clancy, celebrity guests and a studio full of fans. Nice to see him get national praise for his talents that he never received from the England managers in his playing days.

I'm thinking this is going to turn the first home game from a potential win into a draw now. They will all out to impress the manager. I was hoping for a low key appointment for them. Whatever you think of Peter Reid and his ability to manage, he is a big name appointment for them and it will give them a big lift.

I wonder why they didn't release Pulis on the same day, if his contract of employment has been ended by mutual agreement. I mean surely they should cut the same deal with Pulis? Unless of course Pardew rates him?

Its funny when I had sky, I subscribed to the SKy world package. I thought I would watch all the matches on the sports channels but I would start watching them and they would mostly end up being dull and would normally end up watching something else or just watching sky sports for the headlines instead. I had the movies channels too and they are repeated so many times they just aren't worth it.. All the other channels were mostly filled up with cr@p cheap tv programmes. I mean you really had to look to find anything decent on. Sky Sports News was the main channel I found myself watching. When I found out it was free on freeview I decided to unsubcribe to sky and save myself £40 a month. I watch Sky Sports news a lot still now but I will not resubscribe to sky just to watch it again. I'll just use the net to find out all my football news, its just as quick with the latest stories on the whole. I'll miss it but not enough to go back to sky.
