Next Tony Adams will emerge as a favorite with the bookies again. And we all know where that rumour started last time. I can't for 1 second believe we will get Paul Hart. Pardew was doing a great job here and has been treated very unfairly. I feel really sorry for him and his team of coaches. If we get in a cheap replacement then I will start to wonder if there is an issue with money now our beloved owner has passed away. There is no manger who we can realistically expect to take charge that will do a better Job this is madness. Radio Solent just said Eddie Howe is now a favorite and the DJ, who I am guessing was a cherries fan, was begging him not to leave in a stupid voice over to some music. There is no one that has been mentioned as a potential new manager that is going to make us a better team than we are right now. It just feels to me that the purse strings are being cut now and we are going cheap :@

None of the names for a possible replacement enthuse me. I still can't believe Cortese has sacked Pardew, he is probably the best we could hope for at our current level. I really liked Pardew, he installed a winning mentally and the current squad is his team. Will they respond to new manager? I mean whoever comes in has this squad as it is until January. O'Neil will never happen, so who else is there realistically? Who is going to be better than what we had. Zola...no Cotterill no way so who? What a really cr@P way to start Bank Holiday Monday

So now we know why there weren't many signings over the summer, NC didn't back Pardew's decision's. I am really disappointed. I think Pardew would have got us promoted this season, even if it was through the play off's. This is totally the wrong time to be replacing the Manger. Looks like no more signings this window. I ram truly shocked. Why does nothing ever run smoothly for us, not even just for a couple of seasons? Those rumours at the end of the last season were true then. The timing of this announcement is crazy right after a 4-0 away victory. What is Cortese thinking? If he was going to do it why not do it after the 1-1 draw last weekend that would have made more sense?

The only downer today was seeing Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday getting big wins away. I am sure they think they are going to walk this league now. Its up to us to prove them wrong... well hopefully

Sounds like another Papa Waigo, hopefully he'll produce the goods. Pardew mentioned he hopes to bring in another before Saturday. Probably our new number 8 then. I wonder who it will be?

He could have not got himself a watch purely as a selfless act. As the story says he was the kind of man to always be thinking of others first. We will never know for sure, I guess thats the point of the story.

Has there been an official announcement what the cause of death was yet? The "Watch story" would seem to suggest he expected to live a lot longer than he did.

So will we WIFM? I hope so. Perhaps if this performance doesn't end with a positive result it will underline that we need to strengthen the squad.

Its nice to know the family will be sticking by us. I expect some the family might attend on Saturday but I wonder if any of them will take they lead and be a figure head so to speak? If they will attend future games as well?

I'm not really worried, it would just be good to have it clarified. what ever happens happens. I've learnt while supporting saints over the years nothing ever goes smoothly for too long. I just would prefer it if things stayed settled.

who actually officially owns us now anyway? The last thing I want is for Saints to go through another takeover. I really hope the family sticks with us long term.

I have no words to sum it up. I am in shock. He saved our club and seemed the perfect fit for Saints. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace Marcus, you will be missed!!!

I have a feeling you are probably right. we will not sign any more players on any permanent contracts, more likely the transfer window will come and go. Then we will loan some players in. I get the feeling that NC doesn't want to spend big on players. If we were going to spend big we would already have our transfer targets in our squad.

I got my hopes up when I saw the title of this thread but its only a rumour...shame. I heard we have had a bid for Antonio already rejected this is just recycling old news. But still its better than no news.

It would be good if it was true, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Knee injury that needs injections normally means bad news. Normally its linked to a problem that will never really ever clear up without an operation. Hope that isn't the case here.
