Whatever happens Saturday we will still go into the international break top of the league. I feel Saturday presents us with a very good chance of taking 3 more points. I just hope the players turn in a clinical performance and give nothing away.

haha I was worried how Chaplow would play tonight knowing their history, I did wonder if he would have a rush of blood and do something silly. So I was and really glad he got that goal. Fergie Junior is very easy to dislike. He was very unprofessional in the 4 all game last year. Showing his dislike for chappers by grabbing him by the throat at one point. I bet that goal meant alot to him but the victory probably made it even sweeter

As long as he keeps them a small club, everybody wins

I thought that the other week when he tweeted about the team spirit. Hopefully we can sign him up in January.

Saints nail down the Hammers

Let's hope they bring someone in that is twice as useless

I'm not ITK but I have always thought the reason Alan Pardew left was because Cortese heard he might be off to Newcastle. I've heard a few Saints fans say he may have been tapped up by Ashley at Newcastle. It makes sense when you look at some of the facts. Both Ashley and Pardew were meant to be long time close friends and were also meant to of been seen out a lot together just prior to Pardew getting the boot. If this information was true, my guess would be, at some point Ashley asked Pardew the hypothetical question, if there was a job going at Newcastle would he be interested in the Job? To which Pardew probably didn't say yes but he also didn't say no. Somehow Cortese got to hear about it and when asked by Cortese if it was true, Pardew did not give a satisfactory answer and would not commit to Saints long term or Rule out a move to Newcastle if they came a calling. So Cortese had no choice but to give him the boot! I mean What manager trying to rebuild his career, like Pardew would get a 5 and a half year contract at a Premiership club, straight out the bag like that? Maybe Fergie at Man Utd might get a 5 year deal offer cause it not really a gamble. But would a fairly big premiership team like Newcastle offer such a deal to someone who was potentially a big gamble? Not even bagpus at Spurs got offered anything longer than 3years and he was doing a good job for them at the time. I can only guess Pardew's deal was the kind of offer a friend who is the boss of his own company might make another close friend. Creating a very good well paid position especially because as he was a good friend. Its just guess work and may well be wrong but I've never really bought in to the sleeping with players wives as an answer. Whatever the reason its in the past now. Adkins has turned out to be a masterstroke of an appointment and thats all I really care about now our Future.

What a joke!!!

Thanks, I am guessing its going to be around 2 to 3 weeks until we get a verdict in.
-
What is the latest on his court case? Does anyone actually know when it is? I thought it was meant to be this week but obviously not as its not been mentioned.
-
But no mention of what he was going to do to his wife tonight then?

Unless Derby thrash Leicester away this evening, lets hope not though And to think I was really happy the day we got out of the league 1 drop zone after finally over turning our -10 points. Going into the international break top of the championship is giving me that awesome feeling again -

you know he will score now you have said that -
Now he is no longer a Saints player I really don't care what Ox gets up to these days. But I guess if he plays well it means more cash for us in the long term.
-
Feels great but It will be even better if we are still there after tonight's game and with a few points clear as well

I don't think former players paying for their tickets should be seen as such a big deal, its not like they can't afford it. There of lots of other fans like myself who seriously have to consider whether to splash the cash in these difficult times. It would be more of an issue if Nicola Cortese was saying former players and managers weren't welcome at all. which he is not. Both Matt and Lawrie have my 100% respect for what each did for the club in their time here and they always will. But it does concern me they are making such an issue of this, Why weren't they making as much noise when Lowe was literally tearing the club apart? I do think its stupid to have a feud over this though. Its not good for the clubs image to give the press something to bite their teeth into and be negitive about us with. I wish all involved would take the time out to chat to each other. How about as long as they pay they are always guaranteed seats, even in sell out matches? I feel on the whole Cortese is doing a great Job and although not perfect, without him we would be alot worse off, in fact I don't think its an understatement to say that we probably wouldn't even exist now. This is our best start to a season ever and that just wouldn't happen if things behind the scenes were not right. Why try and help let the press have a field day with this and unsettle us? My hope is one day very soon they will sort it out privately together and let the club keep moving in the right direction.

I'll take a guess, its an update on Dan Seaborne. It would be good to hear how he has been since leaving hospital as its been quiet of late regarding his recovery.
-
They will probably be up on the BBC page tomorrow. So unless someone on here posts them up from SKY Sports news or they have some personal camera clips from the match we are going to have to wait I'm afraid.
-
No Chance, it wouldn't be Saints if it was would it? Hopefully it will be 4-1 soon
-
Come on Saints, don't fall into old bad habits now.
-
When is Lee's trial? It seems to be dragging on and on. I thought it was due to be in 6 weeks time and that was 6 weeks ago. I am sure as soon as his trial is over this injury will miraculously clear up.
-
Never going to happen!!!
-
I think he should be given a chance from the bench at least. I know we only have 5 subs now but I think his two league cup appearances should have earn't him at least a chance to come off the bench. He could be our new Nicky Banger
-
When did he get injuried?
-
Not our problem now though is he? As soon as a promising player leaves Saints I stop caring about their progress. I am sure he will not be broken from one Sub performance though, no matter hw bad the team performance was.
