  1. Hopefully with a fair bit of change left over too
  2. lol yeah poor Harry indeed
  3. I never said I didn't like him. I have never met the guy so I could not tell you either way my opinion of him on a personal level. I just don't believe he is a good enough number 2 keeper for Saints in the premier league. Anyway who is to say he would end up unemployed that's you assuming no one will want him. If you are assuming that then you can't have much faith in his ability either can you?
  4. I'm not sure why the club don't just terminate Forecast contract. He must be very unlikely to make the 25 man squad. If he does somehow get in the 25 man squad its surely a wasted space? They must be pretty confident on there new goalkeeping target whoever he may be.
  5. 100% Agreed. His goals and all round play definitely helped us at vital times in our past two seasons. His end of season goals were pivotal in getting us promoted last season. After Barnards injury I feared the worse but his class shone through. His contribution has been massive to our two promotions. He helped us have a great end to last year and a brilliant start to this season, as you say without which, we might not be where we are now. Personally I would have considered keeping him on for this season for his experience at this level alone. Was he actually injured in the run in this season, or was he just out of favour? I would of rather he was on the bench versus Coventry than Puncheon. At least given him a send off, if he was not injuried.
  6. I was hoping we would just terminate the rest of his contract. Paying him off the reminader of his time. I thought we have done that before for other players we no longer wanted and that they had been added to the list of out going players for this time of year. Wayne Thomas springs to mind, didn't he have a year left when we released him? I suppose we won't here about any out going players today now anyway cause apparently Nigel's currently in Boston for some reason
  7. I thought Jaidi was always going retire at the end of the season anyway. I'd like to see him as part of the coaching set up. Bart going is understandable but why isn't Forecast on that list? If we don't have a keeper lined up that would leave Tommy as our number 2 goalkeeper. They must be pretty confident with whoever their goalkeeper target is otherwise we are screwed if Kelvin gets injuried. Is the retained list definitely out tomorrow then?
  8. haha sooner than you think I'd imagine
  9. I seriously can't believe why Rob Green has got called up again. He simply isn't good enough. Its quite worrying if after Joe Hart, Robert Green is England's best goalkeeper. Surely there are better English keepers out there? I know Ben Foster said he wouldn't play for England under the old management but now he is gone, injuries aside, maybe the door is open again? Interesting to see Norwich goalkeeper as third choice though. I just hope nothing happens to Hart so Green doesn't get any pitch time.
  10. My thoughts exactly. Please change the title of this thread.
  11. Surely Pepe Guardiola will be top of any list?
  12. I'm sure if they answered honestly they would answer "Sympathy vote". Quite why they deserve any sympathy is beyond me though. If the FA had seen what a family is subjected to when just using the toilets there then I'm sure they would withdraw the award
  13. Cardiff have bottled it tonight but if we were playing them tonight instead of West Ham you could of guaranteed they would have turned up and given us a much closer game. I'm still so glad we don't have to through this.
  14. The pendulum has certainly swung again, but for how long? FOREVER!!! Until the end of time!!!
  15. He isn't going anywhere
  16. I've got to say I think we will win this one and I can be negative about Saints at the best of times. The last time I had a bad feeling before a game was the Ipswich game and although we didn't win it we still got a point. I feel good about Saturday, reckon we will win with another hard fought 2 nil scoreline!
  17. Billy Sharp has scored all 3 goals in both fixtures of Southampton vs Doncaster this season, shame all the goals weren't all for Saints but still, I am not complaining after today's result
  18. How bad is Rickie's injury?
  19. I thought he was a pompey fan, glad to hear that isn't the case. I don't mind ex skate players being in the team. I just thought if he was pompey fan and was being forced out that his heart might not be in the move. If he has potential and isn't against switching sides then thats fine I suppose. I just don't like the idea of helping them out financially.
  20. Isn't Pearce a Big pompey fan? If so I wouldn't take him. Plus I don't want to help them out financially for a player we might not even use.
  21. For me its was his hat-trick against Forest. I knew that was going to be a tough match and I have family who are Forest fans. They have been a bogey team for us in the past so when he got his and the teams 3rd goal that day I knew it was going to be a good year for him and the team
  22. I have a feeling this may well be the case too. Hopefully this feeling will prove correct
  23. That more than makes up for the penalty that they never should of had in the 3-1 match at St Mary's. Absolutely fantastic win!
