  1. Not sure why they didn't wait an extra day to release the top and a lot of the queuing could have been reduced/avoided. As the OS has just said ... "If you haven't managed to get your hands on a 2012/13 home kit yet, you will have an extra chance to do so from tomorrow when the newly-refurbished Saints Megastore at St Mary's opens its doors."
  2. lol, its a too I'm too late to make it to the loo look
  3. I had a laugh at this one too. I do wonder if he chose this pose or if he was told to do it. Either way it will make some skates blood boil if they see it haha. It works both ways though. When I was a kid, one of my friends at the time and I were both Saints fans. He was quite a good footballer and got taken on with pompey. After a while he was going on about how great pompey were. We stopped being friends soon after
  4. I have nothing to base this on but my gut feeling, I think we will finish above Reading this season!
  5. Rickie looks a bit bemused in that photo, I wonder if he was pulling that face because he wasn't to sure about the new kit either?
  6. Nice to see a former Portsmouth supporter now kissing the Saints badge
  7. I have to agree. Its certainly not my favorite Saints shirt design but I'm sure once the team have beaten a few of the top sides in it, most of this hate will be quickly forgotten.
  8. Ok I voted "Is this really all we have to talk about?" but I was kind of prepared for this kit because of the ITK posters on here. Now I've seen it on the players, especially the shot of Tandari Lee I think it looks ok and that I will grow to like it. The main problem with the design (apart from not being red and white stripes ) for me is the heavy white outline on the aap3 logo. If it was a little less heavy outline stroke it would look better I think.
  9. Is this real or a clever piece of photoshop? If real where did you get hold of a top from already?
  10. Looks good in this shot for some reason
  11. Looks better in this shot for some reason.
  12. Starship Troopers was a good film. It had a bit of a Robocop vibe to it. Probably because the director Verhoeven, producer Davison, writer Neumeier, creature effects designers Phil Tippett and Craig Hayes, and composer Basil Poledouris were all involved with the original RoboCop film. Director Verhoeven says his satirical use of irony and hyperbole is "playing with fascism or fascist imagery to point out certain aspects of American society... of course, the movie is about 'Let's all go to war and let's all die.'" The sequels were poor though.
  13. He looks a bit of a character
  14. I've yet to see the original film "The Thing from another World" but I would like to see it. I've just found it in parts on you tube so I will watch it this evening. John carpenter's "The Thing" although admittedly gross does a very good job of ramping up the tension. I like yourself was shocked by the truly disgusting effects the first time I watched it. It was only years later when I watched it again I found the idea of who is real and who is no longer what they seem compelling. What adds to the the fear for me is you could have be taken over by the organism without even realising. So in the John Carpenter version to think you could end up part of that disgusting mess was a real fear. Jon Pertwee's 'Invasion of the Dinosaurs' is Classic Who at its best. Its a shame the dinosaurs effects are so bad but I guess thats is part of its charm. Some of the old Classic Doctor Who stories that have been released on DVD have the options to watch with slightly updated effects (Still done on the cheap) but they haven't done that for this one have they? I suppose it would of been too much work for them on the budget the restoration team have to work with.
  15. I was going on the interview Nigel Adkins gave the other day. Apparently Adkins had a smile on his face saying he hoped to have one or two players in before the start of pre-season. Well pre-season officially started this Thursday morning according to the Echo. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/9787000.Back_to_work_for_Saints_stars/ Of course I know there is plenty of time to sign players, I know that, I'm not panicking. I am just a sucker for those kind of comments and so when Nigel made them I had incorrectly assumed we might have a new name to talk about today. I am happy enough with waiting, although I must admit I will sleep a little better when we finally secure a new second keeper
  16. Another great film is John Carpenter's "The Thing" This is another great Sci Fi film. High in shocks and has eye-popping physical effects, which maintain the power to disgust even today. What really makes the film stands out from being just another gore fest is that it concentrates on an "imposter" theme, in a vein similar to Invasion of the Body Snatchers. You really feel the unsettling feeling that you just can't trust anyone.
  17. Doesn't look like we are going to get those one or two signings that Nigel mentioned in for the start of preseason now does it? Unless we get a surprise signing tomorrow now?
  18. The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain This is mine!
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI2YieMTwkc Here's the Classic 60's TV show - The Invaders - Intro
  20. [video=youtube;5PaYiqO-KvY] Not as good as the Original series but better than the trailer makes it look
  21. I'd include zombies in Sci Fi. There are so many good and bad films with zombies in, so lots of them to dicuss if you have a favourite? I remember The Invaders, I think it was made in the 60'es and BBC re run them back in the 90'es which is when I saw it. There was a tv movie made in the late 90'es starring Scott Backula and it continued the story of the show. I think he even met the guy from the original series in the film.
  22. I reckon all the above, minus Cork.
  23. Its exactly that. The ending threw me because before seeing it, in my mind the good guys always won. The ending of that film stayed with me for a long time. Its effect on me has been I don't really buy a nice and neatly wrapped up ending anymore. If you compare it to the god awful remake with Nicole Kidman a few years back their version ending is truly laughable.
