I think he will turn out to be a really good signing. He looks like he has lots of potential and could turn out to be a great keeper. I might be a little bit presumptuous here but I would guess our keeping coaches or at least the facilities they use are of a higher standard than Gillingham's? Surely it can only help him being at Saints! Just out of interest does anyone know who is our main goalkeeping coach now?

Has anyone logged on to the Gillingham fans forum yet, to let them know all about Tommy? I wonder if they know quiet what they are getting?

For some reason the first 5 and a half minutes are all to to with his distribution and ability to take the ball under pressure. I know this is never really a good indication to see what a player's ability really is like but I wonder would we be able to make a video like this for Tommy?

I wonder if they send Tommy back early, after they have seen him play?

If he has already signed his contract, then I wonder how long the club will take to officially annouce this signing? Are they going to make us wait again, so they can stagger the good news?

Chill and read back what I actually said. I was just wondering if it had anything to do with him not playing? I wasn't implying anything more than perhaps he still isn't able to play for us, due to the issue with Rangers. I was not saying anything as drastic as the deal had collapsed, was I?

I noticed Steve Davis didn't make an appearance last night though. I guess that means he still can't official play for us yet. Its annoying that Rangers are being so petty as it means he isn't going to be match fit come the start of the season of this goes on much longer.

From the pictures on the os I thought he looked like he had slimed down. He is no more 'stocky' than Rooney is though, and he has been know to do alright from time to time

To be honest I dont think we will be able to trick them into taking Tommy as part of any potential deal. If they have seen him play then we don't stand a chance of shifting him. I would hope this or a move for an equally decent keeper is next on the agenda for Adkins and Cortese. Have any ITK people heard any more on our interest in Paulo Gazzaniga ?

He is probably just talking about his mate leaving Palace for us.

Great post I've got to say, I think we surprise a few people this year and before the season is out.

I think we are all getting a little bored and frustrated at the lack of transfer activity. It was like this last summer but we got a few decent signings in the end. Patience is a virtue apparently. So sit tight, I'm pretty sure we will get in the right players in before the pre season ends.

You have to wonder what the hell happened to him, if he really was considered such a prospect!

There are some really bitter comments on that sky story. Someone says he is wasting his talent signing for Saints. I felt like telling some of them where to go. Another comment says we will be down by Christmas. Can't wait to see Saints prove them wrong

Perhaps he is exchanging his clown shoes for a pair of football boots and is going to play for them?

We do seem to be a little on the slow side signing up our players. Going on our last two potential targets. It seems we identify our targets, get close to signing them and then nothing seems to happen. I'm hoping we hear of our new tripple signing soon

We really should have beaten them that day. Boro did not look anything special, so I'm not sure why we choked. I guess the pressure got to the team that day. I suppose they were celebrating their outside chance of the play off's. Still there was no need for that overreaction, it was like we had wronged them in some way.

Whatever your opinion is of Tommy, he himself must realise that his days are numbered. He must of heard Adkins comments about bringing in 1 or maybe 2 goalkeepers. So he will know deep down he is surplus to requirements. He is just running down his contract, milking it for all its worth. He really is the last part of our dark days. I've nothing against him Personally, just don't feel it can benefit the club in any way to keep on somebody who is clearly not good enough at this level, or even the footlball league level for that matter.
