Xbox One, PS4 priced at £599 on Amazon! Both next-generation consoles, which are due to launch this year, have been priced at £599 and are available to pre-order from the online retailer. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a485327/xbox-one-ps4-priced-at-gbp599-on-amazon.html For that price I think I'll wait and see how they both turn out before i make a decision. Hopefully they will be a lot cheaper in the next couple of years. Its going to take a couple years before there is a decent games library available anyway.

Ok Thanks for pointing that out. I stand corrected -
OFFICIAL: Adidas announced as new kit supplier
Saint J 77 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
adidas are a well know kit manufacturer and thats great but I just hope we get a decent kit design this year. This seasons kit took some getting used too. I didn't mind it in the end but it would be great to have a more fan pleasing design this year. I know from what I've read on here that I should expect another bland mostly red shirt again. I just hope it's not going to be as bad as some are making out. -
So now Palace are up, all the teams relegated in 2005 are back in the Premier League. Hopefully history will not repeat itself next season.

Much appreciated, Thanks sussexsaint.

The "High Resolution Solutions" was just a tag line to make clear what Res was short for. Sorry that it put you off looking at the rest. Res Space, the Portfolio place is the other tag line. They aren't really important, neither is the name of the site really. I just thought I would have an identity for the portfolio rather than just using my own name and putting a .co.uk on the end. But thanks for the feedback.

To all my Fellow Saints Fans, I recently created Res Space. http://www.res-space.co.uk Res Space isn’t a business but it is my space to showcase my graphics portfolio. If you have a minute to spare, then please come and take a look at Res Space. I have 12 years design experience, in 2009 I decided to work for myself. I've been operating largely by word of mouth since then, working for local businesses and charities. I have never really used the social media to advertise myself before but thought I would finally give it a go and see if it opens up any new opportunities for me. I know there are some talented designers who use this website and it would also be great to get chatting to some of you. If you know anyone you think might be interested I would be very grateful if you would share the link. Also if you like what you see then please do come and like the Res Space Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ResSpace?fref=ts and help me spread the word. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

As I have mention on this thread before, I am a massive Star Trek fan, but you have just summed up my feelings on JJ's Star Trek perfectly. I have yet to see the new film but already know a lot about it. I wasn't that impressed with the 2009 movie, it was ok as a pop corn flick but it was not proper Star Trek for me. Watching the trailers and seeing some of the clips of Into the Darkness I have to say I have cringed a few times to some of the clichéd dialogue. "We are outmanned, outgunned" etc being right up there one of the things that made me I think Benedict Cumberbatch is a great actor and know who he turns out to be, but all I have heard and seen so far brings him a cross almost as a mousche curling villain. I'm with you pap, you've pretty much summed up all my thoughts about JJ's Star Trek with everything you've said.

Interesting to hear, thanks... I must say, whether this turns out to be true or not, I much prefer reading these snippets of information over the Morgan Schneiderlin is leaving rumour
-
Considering he just signed a new contact until the summer of 2017 I find this rumour highly unlikely!

Heart breaking news My thoughts and prayers go out to Richard and his family.

SAINTS 1-1 Stoke City // Post-Match Reaction
Saint J 77 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Disappointing not to finish the season with a win. At least we didn't lose. Since Reading away we haven't had a great run of results. Maybe we haven't had a rub of the green at times but it definitely has felt like the players lost some confidence or just started to relax a little too soon. As it turns out we would have still been safe on 37 points, if we had not got any more points after that Reading match. There definitely needs to be an improvement next year though. On recent performances I am a little concerned. Hopefully we will have a successful summer in the transfer market and a good soild pre season, so we can start the new season with a bang. -
It's all done with smoke and mirrors

Obviously I dont want Southampton Football club to implode. As fun as League one turned out to be, I don't want Saints back in it! And I am not saying we will! But IF this current situation does spiral out of control at least we have a little more time to stop the rot before we end up like our fishy neighbours. My point was merely, If this had happen two years ago straight after Markus Liebherr's death we could now be a lot worse off. I was just trying to look on the bright side.
-
Lets look on the bright side of this. IF the worse case scenario does come to pass and we are left without a chairman, the manager leaves, the players want out and our backing from the family goes. At least it happened now while we are a premier league team and not two seasons ago when we were in league one.

Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits
Saint J 77 replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Saints
Whenever something good happens for Saints, there is always some bad or unsettling news that follows shortly afterwards. Its a pattern that has happened a lot in recent years. It may well be true the club is just about to implode and undo all the good work thats happened in the last few years but to be honest I just don't think it is worth worrying about it right now. This is going to drag on for some time I reckon. Its obviously going to effect us badly next season through lack of preparation and signings etc. I think we should expect the worse and get on with our lives. Lets not waste time worrying about it. Then things can surely only end up being better than we could hope for. -
There has always been a pattern with Saints news in recent years. Something good will happen and within few days there is an equally bad or unsettling news story that emerges in the press to counter act any good feeling we have at Saints fans. I was almost expecting this after yesterday, but I must admit this unsettling news came out even quicker than I expected this time around though. I reckon this will drag on for some time now and as annoying as it is to wait and see what happens next that is all we can do. I suppose we should be excited we are in the premier league for at the very least one more season
-
Anytime something good happens to saints there always seems a bad news story hot on the heels of it to. It's a pattern that I'm well used to now. Although, right now we don't really know for sure what Cortese leaving would mean to the ownership situation, I thought it was often widely believed if Cortese leaves The Liebherr family would pack up and leave with him. The BBC story seems to be suggesting otherwise though. If Cortese does go because he no longer has free rule and the family bring in someone else, will it be a good thing or not? Only time will tell I guess. Cortese has shocked and even disgusted me with some of his decisions in the past. But you can't really deny he has had big plans for us and so far he has fulfilled them. As mentioned alot the current team have bought into his vision so what will it mean to them if he goes? Maybe the family choosing to replace him is the first step in selling up as they feel the job their father set out to do is done? Whatever happens life too short to worry about it. Lets just concentrate on beating stoke and see what happens as it all unfolds in the coming weeks.

It probably needed a rest. Although I think the Enterprise series was really starting to come in to its own by season 4. It should have been at least given another series after season 4. Manny Coto really understood Star Trek and was doing a great job. I think Star Trek works best on TV as a series. There have been some great Star Trek movies though and although the 2009 film was ok for a generic sci fi action movie, i don't believe the movie was worthy of destroying over 40 years of Star Trek continuity for. Plus it sometimes felt they were going for a more Star Wars feel than Star Trek. I, like you, hope we get a new series, when they are done with these movies. Preferably in the established Prime universe not the 2009 JJ verse!

Some things get rebooted when their simply is no need. Take Star Trek for instance. That has been reduced from intelligent sci fi to dumbed down action movie in space all in my opinion of course, I'm sure many will disagree. Superman though has been crying out for a decent on screen reboot for ages. The Brandon Ruth Superman movie is almost unwatchable on a second viewing. They had some nice ideas in Bryan Singer movie but all for all the good ideas, it got a lot wrong and ended up almost being a parody of the old Christopher Reeve films. Don't even get me started about the Superman Lois Lane love child, that was a horrible idea. The new film looks great, very modern. Though iconic, I agree the red underpants had to go The classic theme tune maybe gone but the new music by Hans Zimmer sounds fantastic. I am not a musical expert but I think if you listen closely that some of the notes used will pay homage to the original music from John Williams. There is a lot of rich material to draw from from the world of Superman and if they get this film right, they could be on to a winner. I wasn't really sure about Zod being in this film at first either but after thinking about it, I think it shows they are going for big stakes right from the start. I'm sure they will not make the mistake of killing Zod off in this movie as they are hoping this to be the launch of their potential Justice League and the linked DC super hero universe. So I am sure they will be thinking of the bigger picture. From what I have read I don't think they are going to spend to much time on the origin story despite the trailer showing us otherwise. I think they finished making this film over a year ago but it's release was put back so it's been a long time coming, I just hope it's been worth the wait
