Saints announce Virgin Media as new main club sponsor
Nexstar replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Annoying they're prioritising away fans over the club they're actually sponsoring, but hopefully we'll give a nudge to other clubs before they set the prices when we go to their ground. -
It's not, but Spartak don't seem to be in the game of paying £260k a week to one player.
-
I literally can't think of a single reason we would sell, or he would want to leave for Russia.
-
It's because it takes a week to turn it from an athletics stadium to a football stadium.
-
His complete lack of ability to pick Villa's least crap players at the end of last season was astounding.
-
Christ why have we got Eric Black?
-
His agent must be bored.

With the #Ambition of other, bigger, teams in the PL, I cannot see any likelihood of Everton finishing better than sixth next year. So this mega season of spending will likely see them as high as....err....us. (Potentially with no European football, again.)
-
Looking forward to hearing more......in 24 hours.

Mossack Fonseca

Hopefully the club closes its doors before we have to endure the worst summer in the history of football for any football team since the time of football began.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33061483 Can't imagine it will be long before we see it in the PL.

BREAKING: Premier League clubs announce £30 cap on away tickets
Nexstar replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Didn't saints spend some of this money on doing up the away end and paying for a crap funfair in the car park for a game? This is guaranteed, fair, savings for all. Great news. -
Good analysis Benji. There's really nothing glaring unless we sell Mane/Wanyama. Stek hopefully will be happy enough to play second choice and I like the suggestion of Sigurdsson as an AM option.

Been thinking for a few weeks he'd be a great addition if we could tempt Arsenal to sell. Saw an article the other day which said in 100+ league appearances he's finished the full game on just 10 occasions. 5 years and 10 full games. Think about how he would have progressed had he stayed and helped our charge up the leagues. £15m is praying though. 22 year old England international....we'd be lucky to get him for anything in the 20s.
-
What exactly has he done to warrant £12m?

Got a ballot place to run the London Marathon this year. I'm fairly sporty, but just running is pretty new to me. Currently 7 weeks into my training plan and it's ticking along ok.
-
Just get rid of the League Cup.
-
So the fans have to pick up the cost for managerial failures?
-
It's also possible his view was somewhat blocked and he took direction from the 4th official with regard to the card colour.
-
Will be very interesting to see what situation Leicester are in 12 months from now. Assuming they retain a position within the top 3 come May they'll have a guaranteed CL group stage position, and a shed-load more cash with the new TV deal to spend in the summer; a potent mix for attracting some big names and rising talent. So they could find themselves fully transformed after just a single season with a (relatively) inexpensive manager and squad.

The Academy, how many PL quality players has and how often?
Nexstar replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
I don't think averaging one new PL-standard player a year for the last 12 years is something to be sniffed at. A similar breakdown for the the other 19 PL clubs would probably put this in starker contrast. -

Sixth was the header. Fifth was Origi smashing one off the underside of the bar. Again, very little chance with it.

Seems Alex Davison can change teams just as quickly as his mate Adam.
