MLT could have played for any of the other home nations and France. He wanted to play for England! He could have played international football, but you could argue that his committment to England was as strong as it was towards SFC.

I fail to see how you can criticise MLT for his style of play. The facts remain that his goals, assists and leadership kept us in the Premier League during the 1990s. I can't see how you can possibly argue with that. If you are judged via statistics, then judge him by goals and assists. You don't get awarded points for the number of miles you run in a game! I dread to think the depths that Saints would have sunk to without having MLT in the team during the 1990s. In my opinion there would have been a fair chance we would have been relegated from the Premier League, which begs the question - would we have even been able to move stadium??? I think 19c's criticism of someone who did so much for our club is unfair and unjustified.

Tuition fees are not though.

It would be useful if the Daily Echo could find out where the money for the deposit came from i.e. was it from Fialka's own pocket. I suggest this will be impossible.
