And it's people like you that make this forum very unpleasant. You compare this forum with other clubs and there is more nasty comments here than any other. Most of the people on here have massive egos and that is the reason I have not bothered paying another £5. I don't want to waste my time reading how much o a better saints fan you are than me. I said sorry at the time - get over it and get over yourself. And before people remark, yes there is probably spelling mistakes in here.... Cb hope you and your ego have a great nye!

It's ok I'm waiting for you to drop it every time a thread like this comes up! As I said at the time I was taken for a ride. For the record there is a difference between Torbay and Torquay.

On receiving the planning permission the agent acting on behalf of the club would have had to discharge pre commencement planning conditions - which can take a while (not 8 months though).

Following Saints players in the world cup.

I know that a senior scout watched Francis (albeit at their away game to H'pool game a week before the cup final).

Grey, ball, dodd, nicholl, bates and I have wise?

Southend right back - Francis.

I'd take chris lines from bristol rovers (excellent player and has played with rickie before) and francis (right back from southend). -
Simon Francis - Southend right back.

The long ball game was a plan long before MS was ruled out. A senior member of the Saints coaching team watched Carlise play Southend. The report highlighted that their left midfielder was their best player and that once Southend competed physically, Carlise could not compete. The plan was always to use Rickie in that way, with or without MS. Saints (led by Pardew) did there homework and it paid off.

Anyone have any spare tickets for Wembley?
Torbay Saint replied to red&white56's topic in The Saints
I have one spare ticket which I will sell for face value - £58. It is in Club Wembley right behind the goal (Saints End - Block 241). If anyone is interested please PM me. -
Has Lambert scored 30 Saints goals? Does his 1 goal for Rovers count against our club record if he beats it?
-
For those who are in block 241 - are you wearing club colours? It says in the t and c that if you do you risk being refused entry. But its a cup final and we are in the saints end?

I heard that Kayne has stated that he wishes to move on. He had an unfortunate loan spell - scoring in his first game, playing very well in the second and the third was called off due to crowd problems. I think he wants to play first team football but will not get it at the moment under AP. This agent has spoken with AP who said he can move on, but NC over ruled this. It think his contract runs out at the end of the year (?) and I suspect if he hasn't left by then, he will at that point.

There isn't a mention of the ice rink in the newly Adopted Southampton City Council Core Strategy, within the City Centre Area Action Plan or the City Vision. From what I can see they are proposals from a private developer (Warburg), who has spent money on public consultation. This might suggest that an application was fairly close, rather than being promoted through the planning system. Given that the idea has come from the developer, I am not sure they will have considered expanded stadium. I'd be interested to find out where those design sketches originated though!
-
Don't know why I am posting it here but I have heard that kayne mclaggon maybe on the move.
-
The real lead in time pre development would be the pre application discussion required with the Local Authority and the preperation of the necessary technical inputs.

It was subject of more than just a survey - it was subject of an excavation: http://www.wessexarch.co.uk/projects/hampshire/southampton/stmarys/index.html

Not sure that would pass the sustainability tests! Have a read of the Bristol City planning application and see what they have had to do in highways terms! I've done one stadium redevelopment (for cricket) and the planning application did not take too much time to get through (nor did the Bristol City one really, which is for a larger quantum of development) so there is no need to rush it. That said a full planning consent lasts for 3 years from the date of the decision notice so plenty of time to implement it if attendances increased! It would certainly be a great job to be involved in!
-
You sure about that? http://www.bristol.gov.uk/ccm/content/Environment-Planning/Planning/major-developments/bristol-city-football-club--new-stadium-at-ashton-vale.en;jsessionid=E1D76846491F2A41D6E9F9ACF5733729.tcwwwaplaws3

If it was proven that the existing highway network could not sustain the increase in attendees then the Club would have to mitigate that impact. The Club will probably already have to have some sort of sustainable transport plan. I am currently working on a scheme involving the development of a turn back facility at an existing railway station and the developer has to pay. I would imagine the development of a station would necessitate development on third party land and therefore would be a very expensive solution. Although I am not a highways consultant, I would think that the Club will look at other methods before developing the existing rail network.

What do people think about Barts positioning for the Leeds goal. I just saw it on sky and he looked to have drifted to the near post - not saying he could have saved it, but to me it looked like he made it easier.

I saw the guy in the outfit as well the trouble. I first thought that there must have been a pompey fan infront of the guy in the outfit as it wasn't that realistic - it was obvious it wasn't W******d! Yes, it was not very well thought out but coining people is really stupid. The coins were thrown all over the place in Block 33 and hurt a lot of innocent people.
-
So who's travelling the furthest for the Pompey game?
Torbay Saint replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
I am coming from Cardiff and my brother and Dad from South Devon.
