Bassett's revelation that Lowe intereferes with team selection and other football matters came as no surprise to me. Over the last couple of years I have spoken with 2 ex-Saints managers about Rupert Lowe. I met Harry Redknapp soon after he left and when I asked him why he had gone he looked me in the eye and said "I simply could not work with that man any more". That probably doesn't come as much of a surprise but I also had cause to talk to Stuart Gray about his stint as Southampton manager. Soon after Dean Richards joined Spurs, Gray lined up a centre-half replacement from Sunderland but Lowe vetoed the signing on footballing grounds. (That centre-half has since continued to play well in the Premiership and higher reaches of CCC).

This was Jo Tessem live on the radio, Mark just said that it confirmed that Lowe was calling all the shots, JP just coaches what he is given !

On Mark Dennis's show on Radio Hampshire on Thursday night Jo Tessem was the guest. He was saying how he has kept his fitness and how he had recently contacted the Saints with a view to training with the squad and perhaps even helping out on the playing side if required. Um fully agree with about David, but not sure how he will be feeling right now, as Sarah his wife is leaving southampton fc after many many years of service, she handed her notice in and was then talked out of leaving by her boss who was desperate not to to loose a very loyal and hard working employee, so she was going to stay, until guess what someone from upstairs stepped in and said no she can go !! how not to run a happy ship it is not just the fans that are very unhappy at the moment !!
