As much as I enjoyed going to championship and league 1 grounds, at the end of the day still want to see Saints competing with the best. As much as I hate the focus on the top 6 and Sky ignoring the likes of Saints. I still want to see Saints competing at the top. Although it doesn't happen very often now, I still love the look on the faces of glory boy supporters when they have lost to 'little old' Saints. As much as I hate the Premier League, the money, Sky and the disparity between the top and the rest. At sometime changes will be made and unless we are the top table we will not have a say (as little as it will likely be deemed).

Exactly. I live and run my own practice in London so most days are 8am to 7pm. weekday matches are bad enough and Friday's just that bit worse with people leaving for the weekend.

He was a better player than often given credit for. I wasn't that pleased when we signed him but soon realised that he can play. Still remember Everton at home relegation season 2005, 2 nil up. at 2-1 seconds left he is heading the edge of their box, rather than taking the ball into the corner and kill the time he makes crap attempt on goal. Only for Everton to go up the other end and equalise. Also Redcraps first game in charge i think. If Bent hadn't scored that equaliser we would have stayed up on goal difference. Having said that considering how bad we were we didn't deserve stay up.

Were we that bad in the first half?!?!? Phil Thompson (sky report) thinks we were dreadful and rabbits in headlights. Taking into account we were playing against 12...I don't think so....also my neutral friend that was with me didn't think we were doing too bad in the first half. Playing high trying to pressurise them we are bound to leave gaps for teams to knock the ball into.

Agree he could be a decent player. He looks to be a bit trimmer and more in shape than last season. I like the way he took on the defence in the second half, needs to find that killer pass at the end of it or shot on target. Also notice that he and Bertrand actually passed to each other in the 2nd half. Often wondered last season if there was a problem between them as they never seem to pass and return to each other.

Spent £220m buying 80% of SFC - £50m = £170m now to recoup. If we stay in the Prem' trying to survive on a shoe string, the winnings will likely mean that the £170m will recouped in around 4-5 years. Good business, if we can stay up. Crap for us fans. But he is a businessman so why should he give flying **** about us.
