I thought it has since been proven and accepted Peru took a bung...

After our game at midday West Ham would have to have won 4-0 or by that margin....

Saints "do not have a massive pot of cash"
David Strover replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Yes although although I don't come on here much anymore his remarks wind me up (so they work) and I suspect he may genuinely have some mental problems so on the ignore list he goes.... -
Bad luck. I'm sure you'll be happier when they do lose next time. You can't have everything you're own way!

I think you'll find that Jesus was white and spoke English with an American accent. Next you'll be suggesting he was arabic in appearance - if indeed he did exist which is very much up for debate. Luckily Nigel Adkins does exist. I can't help thinking how much this forum will change should we be unfortunate enough to lose four or five games on the trot........we shall see.

My understanding was the Southern League clubs forced the Football League's hand by applying 'en mass' to join the league thus forming Division Three in 1920 or whenever it was (I was 16 at the time and a butcher's boy so can't quite remember). The Football League then said 'Okay but only the champions go up' and we went up the second season. Despite being **** and letting too many goals in and not being ambitious with signing on big name players from Accrington Stanley.... Or something like that....

I don't know about any stay aways but I just can't afford it and haven't be able to for some time. Before anyone says I don't smoke or drink either...

Your own 'you know nothing about football' posts

I think it will be harder for me to find something I've got right over the years. I am an utter tosser. I'm still not a clinical depressive though :-) -
Massive problems defensively is surely losing 5-1 at home with the visiting goalie scoring (anyone name that game?) or conceding 93 goals in 42 league games and escaping relegation with two games to go (name that season). Winning five of your first six games and conceding eight goals (as many as Arsenal in one game) is not a massive problem no matter what way you spin it. Unless of course you like to look for the negative aspects of every situation.....

In the eighties I didn't go to Southampton too much - especially Friday and Saturday nights. With a farm-boys voice and not being from the area there was a good chance I would get duffed over for 'exisiting'. I know my mates who were braver than me often got into bother - I've no idea if they started or were innocent but I found night clubs and pubs in towns generally a bit dodgy at times. Having said that we did though because coming from the villages there weren't many girls around - so the city was were they were....not that I was very successful at that either. I am an utter coward and frightened of my own shadow though.

Apparently every goal we let in seems to be the goalies fault no matter what. I think we are lucky to have two good goalies to be honest. You only have to watch goal highlights on the TV to see 'goalie rickets' virtually every night. It did look like Bart got his positioning and wall a bit 'to cock' but then he apparently made a point blank save later on at 2-1 which I haven't seen. There's no point asking people who went because it just turns into a Kelvin versus Bart competition where each goalie appears to be the best outside the Premier League to the worst within a post!

Isn't slagging off our club and members of it a job for opposition supporters?

Ipswich 2 - 5 Southampton - post match fapping session
David Strover replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
I've just seen one of the goals on Sky Sports - it looked like a massive passing **** take. I also noticed that Southampton almost threw away a 3 goal lead but won 5-2 whereas West Ham thrashed Watford....5-2 is 5-2 it doesn't matter when the goals go in. -
To be honest I think there might be a sense of humour shown in that photo. If it was Lowe he'd probably be shown heading in a goal at Old Trafford or directing play from the touchline in a tracksuit. But if we were in a **** state I doubt that image would have been on the cover - probably a shot of the crowd for the first game of the season I'll guess. What's done is done and opinion ain't gonna change it now.

A lot but being a mature sort of fellow I hide it very well. It took my weeks to get over the 1-0 defeat at Walsall last season - I was so, so fecked off.

Some people won't be happy until we get a keeper that makes no mistakes - I can't wait to see him, along with all of the footballing world...

Aaaah....thanking you folks.

Is there any description of the new away kit?

Blue shorts actually - black was messing with it...

Is Next Season's Kit Being Displayed Today?
David Strover replied to David Strover's topic in The Saints
So summit like this? I think this was the first Saints shirt I bought wih my own money - when I was 15! -
I can't remember it if is.

If we win today I will bet you £500 (a realistic figure I could just about afford) that, baring some points deduction or the end of the civilised world, we will be promoted after the Walsall game even if we lose. Will you take that bet?
-
I think we'll win at Brentford and Huddersfield will lose at Brighton and that - apart from three very unlikely results in the remaining games - will be that! Then we can start whinging when we don't instantly start winning every Championship game 5-0 and signing on Messi.
-
If they are such 'memory hogs' they would remember that they got suitable revenge about two seasons later. Brighton and Hove Albion by then in the 'old' First Division played Saints at the Dell on a Tuesday night. If Saints won they would go top of the First Division table for the first time in the club's history. Result Brighton won 2-0. I think that must have been pretty sweet.....or maybe my memory is not quite so selective.

I think the nail has bit hit on the head earlier in this thread - we're in League One and he's playing for a League One team. If he was that good he'd be in a top three side in the Premiership.
