GM and not because of what he believes or says, he like all of us is fully entitled to his opinion what with being a most evilly minded liberal and all, but because of the childish, unprofessional and downright pathetic way he goes about it, who knows he could be completely correct.

The man truly is an idiot and only confirms my predjudices about small businessman in this country and the type of people they are..... As a nation we're 'king doomed.

It's late at night and I fully admit to cutting and pasting this from the Internet font of all knowledge Wikipedia but can someone finally explain to me why the feck it is seen as a REALLY BAD thing to be liberal in your views? Modern liberal thought originated in and influenced the politics of The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France. The first modern liberal state was the United States of America founded on the principle that "all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that to insure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." The alternative to the above to me appears to be some form of facism or something the many fundamentalist groups around the world are trying the foist upon us - do as I say and it'll be really good for you if you don't I'll kill you....human beings weird? You betcha. As for the Saints related matters - I'll take GMS apology at it's face value, although I do wonder if someone contacted him and said if you don't you'll going to be in a whole world of pain - someone in a suit with an expensive job - and I still will not get excited until it is written in ink and publised on the OS as a fact. Also £14m is a fortune to most of us but I think it's about £10 in the Football League even in League One unless that is just for playing staff.....

I get the feeling you won't hear from Mr.Lynham for a while now... -
First defeat of the season then......if such things existed the Football Gods ****ing well hate us with a might passion!
-
I believe Luton were docked extra points by breaking the rules whilst in administration a fact that was brought up by a employee of the club to the FA - so honesty pays there doesn't it? I actually hate conspiracy theories with a vengance but it's funny how Mick Harford brought up the subject of corruption in football causing quite a fuss (whilst at Luton and presumably with the club's knowledge and blessing) and before you know it Luton are more or less expelled from the Football League.....there's more than one way to skin a cat I guess!

That is an old lady with her fingers crossed.....

Imagine this Forum, after all this toing and froing, if the team is utterly ****e next year and we struggle to stay clear of the bottom four (remember it's four in League Division Three that go down to League Division Four).

**** me! Slagging Tony Lynham and MLT and the person they represent doesn't even own the club yet! If I had anything to do with this and read some of the comments on here I'd think "What have a let myself in for" and have a very long hard think before I committed.... Some of the comments on this thread beggar belief - we were maybe days away from not even having Southampton Football Club existing any more gentlemen. I suggest you sit back and think about that for a few minutes or so before you start telling people that are potentially going to save the club what they should or shouldn't be doing. Good job they couldn't give a fiddler's elbow about what gets said on an Internet forum!

Hmmmm would you like a list of the sporting organisations and large businesses that use Facebook as a tool? Still I suppose well written letters and dry business meetings with only the 'right' people invited are the way forward in the 21st century. We don't build anything but we know a man who does......
-
I don't think so - it doesn't matter who is connected with this club - in any role from bin cleaner to Chairman people post here and say "I don't think so.." and words to that effect. It's a right good larf reading them all though.
-
Congratulations to S****horpe United. That is how you do it after a relegation.....

Did the "Lowe Boycott" Damage the Chances..

What about me? I didn't go when were going well in the Premiership either? I couldn't afford to travel down from Swindon every other week, pay the £35 or whatever it was and sundry expenses on my pitiful wages. I used to go to The Dell a lot when I was younger though and I lived in Lockerley. Last time I looked we live in a fairly free democracy and every adult male and female is free to make their choice on a wide variety of topics. If some on this forum choose to go to every game that is their choice and if others choose never to set foot in the stadium for whatever reasons it's up to them and I judge them not......lest they judge me. -
I was never convinced he was dyslexic anyway as his spelling was usually phonetic which is not usually a characteristic of that problem.

Surely any player worth his salt in any league at all when under pressure and not sure of the situation at the back just hoofs it away - no one scores when they've got the ball near their own corner flag - unless they are playing Saints that is. I'm pretty sure that Nigel Pearson has done something personal to Nineteen Canteen because he sure has a pop at him at any opportunity he can. Strange that.
-
Don't forget Norwich - they've sold 18000 season tickets - they're magnificent.

I play against Solent City in the New Forest League when I was sixteen. The beat us 10-3 so maybe that's a good sign........hic!

Steady - she was fine looking women for years but I suppose I'd say that as it was my mum! She's still around but 80 now. Last time I saw Channon was in the Malthouse on Sunday dinnertime and he told my I was "...a waste of time on behalf of my mother" but I can't remember why - I don't think I even spoke to him so some of the yoof in there must have peed him off. It were many years ago.
-
He was trying to chat up my mum once in Braishfield Club, along with a couple of other Saints players. He must have been about twenty and she was about forty!

To be honest with you Stu I have thought that way about footballers (of any club) for quite some time. I like watching the games but worshipping the players, having their names on the back of a 'club' shirt and other such hero worship to the one section of society who certainly do not deserve it is not my bag of chips and nor will it ever be. Truth be told they really couldn't give a toss about you, me or the club unless it's two o'clock in the morning and you are a nubile twenty year old filly then they might just be interested....for a while.

I have met a few successful people and were once I admired them for their get up and go and nous as I got older and watch some of there ways I have come to the conclusion most of them bumble along with some really good people working below (usually unrecognised - and no not me I'm a pillock) and they just happen to be in right place at the right time and an awful lot of them are continent size bullsh*tters. My wife worked for the one of the biggest companies in the world at one time - successful, organised? Nope it was like the Keystone Kops but no one gave a toss as log as the dividends came in. Lowe's luck ran out is all. I don't like the image of the bloke I have been presented with over the years but then again the only part about professional football I like is the games - the money, egos, hype and a lot of the fans I could care less.... -
Has anyone supported a professional sports team that has gone tits up and folded? I have. Not a huge club but a club that was top of their league, won every trophy going and packed out their arena - it was brilliant. Next season due to no support form the business community, the council and sponsors they folded dead - gone, kaput. You know what? I survived.
-
Win four or five on the trot and people will come back, not in droves but they'll come back. Have the usual Saints start with a load of rejects from The Muppet Show and Fred Karno's Army and then I'm afraid they'll dwindle. That is a fact of football life, nothing to do with Saints having bad supporters as some posters would have or even with them having great supporters. Unsuccessful teams tend to have lower gates. Who'd have thunk it eh?
