I can't see that happening to be honest.
-
My mistake. Anger can do that to you - that and being a complete tosser such as I am. Perhaps I was thinking about winning the Champions League that season or perhaps that crack was stronger than I thought. **** it I'm off the bed .
-
Eddie I'll see more shots in the first five minutes than you'll see in the next two games and more goals in the first twenty minutes than you'll see in the next three games. And I'll be entertained. Something that appears to be not in SFC's brief this season.
-
Mind you if we don't go up this season it means we have to get promoted in 2011-12 and then again in 2012-13 and then again 2013-14 to make the FIVE YEAR PLAN come true......oh look my *****. It's a bloater.
-
Why bother - we won't score - so we won't win. We are the worst team in the Division - simple as that.

Supporting Saints is nothing like supporting an 'normal' football club. It is some sort of self torture and to be honest I've got tickets for the ice-hockey on Saturday and I'm going to that. I'm not going to even think about football, check the telly or any of the other things I do on Saturdays. Pretty soon after that I'm off to Canada where I won't check a thing until I'm back. I just don't give a damn any more. We don't seem to be able to stay at a moderate level of success in League Division Three so why do any of us bother? They couldn't complain if about 1,200 turned up on Saturday. They really would have no grounds for complaint.

In celebration of my £5 spent I have started probably my one and only thread. Does the panel think Nigel Adkins will attempt to improve the squad (not should he but will he) and if so who do we reckon it might be? I know this is very open ended but I have no clue and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the topic.

I have no insights to how the club works. It could be utter bullshine - the choice is with the reader.

If I say it is the reason - then I am close to libel as I have no proof. Therefore I will reiterate that this a rumour that maybe true or malicious but I do not say it is either. I know it has been posted on here I didn't say it hadn't. But it does make sense with the 'known' facts - three people instantly dismissed out of the blue. This was passed to me by someone who I trust. It's all I have ever been told and to be honest I don't really care either way - it's history you can't unring a bell.

There are libel laws. It was not humping. It was something most people do on this site on weekends often to excess (footballers are often seen in this state).

Great nights at the Dell (great as they might have been) mean absolutely diddly-squat to anyone but Southampton fans and few if any are recorded in 'Big Books of Football' produced over the years. We will get a mention alongside the Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal stories mainly because we won the FA Cup and MLT played for us but then only as a sidebar. We all love Saints (most of the time) but in terms of the much overused 'big club' and 'great history' cliches it just isn't so. As much as I'd like it to be.....

I have heard why AP was sacked. I don't know if it is true but it makes sense to how the situation panned out.
-
I think his time is already up with some posters - so it's actually negative time!

"With a sport psychology diploma, a business and finance diploma, a UEFA Pro coaching badge, a diploma in 'applied management in professional football' from Warwick Business School, and an honours degree in physiotherapy" I'd say that makes him more ambitous and more qualified to run this team than any of the whinging ninnies on this forum.

Back to the topic. As I live in Swindon and was surrounded by STFC supporters at my Sunday morning team's cup game (drew 5-5 after being 3-0 and 4-3 down but lost on penalties - that'll bring the crowds back) I was told/discussed a few things. 1. Can we play you every week? (Ho ho) 2. Saints are a good team and will be near the top of the table come the season's end. 3. Charlie Austin is out for 12 weeks or more.

Nope I headed in the opposite direction to Lockerley to see my mum (she was 81 on Wednesday) that is how I got some inside info' as my brother was there too.

Eddie go on Facebook Mike's having a rant.

Les Reed - has and will have NOTHING to do with the first team

Pardew was sacked from the club for non-football related matters. This has been confirmed to me today. -
Not knowing one iota about a topic doesn't seem to stop people posting and 'informed' opinion on that subject though does it. There are threads and threads and threads on this topic calling our chairman, club a shambles, a tosser, ******s etc and taking everybodies word against ours. Presumably everyone on here believes every single thing said on press releases from the Taliban too then. Interesting the posters who actually spoke to NC in person implied that a. he had to sack AP (which seems to fit in from the way it happened) b. most of the managers interviewed are fit for purpose (which most posters seem to think)

Have you changed your mind about this season?
David Strover replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
We're **** and well be in this league for years. -
It is a comic that tries to mould opinion rather report it - and there are a lot more than 8 million complete idiots in this country.
-
Keep Hull up was an 'accident'. If your remember they didn't win for about 24 games or so. Okay it was in the Premiership with a two-bob squad but you'd have thought he could get a win or two in that time. Not good enough.

I don't actually know anything at all. I do know Kaiser Soze though - the actual person - but I can't vouch for the story either way. My only opinion is even if we were to get in Jose or Alex himself it's too late for Saturday. If they were installed this afternoon that gives them just two days to sort out the team - who can't finish and can't break down a massed defence - into a well oiled winning machine. Also any new manager cannot unring the bell of Barnard's suspension or Adam's injury and nor can him magically make Ricky Lambert fit again. So by logic I deduce we will lose Saturday. The team's confidence and finishing is rock bottom. We are playing a team we haven't even scored against in the last three meetings let alone gained any points. The previous meeting was a 3-0 romp for the home team. and the biggest indicator of all... Our opponents are bottom of the table and haven't won a league game this season. I get no pleasure from this. I want Saints to win promotion and win every game they play. I've followed Saints since I was six, so that is 42 years, therefore experience tells me how it goes (usually). Mind you knowing Saints if I was a betting man I'd have money on them to win Saturday - 'cause I don't think anyone thinks they're gonna win.

1. Wilkins will be in charge Saturday. 2. Swindon Town will win 2-0. 3. As soon as the first goal goes in all our 'we must do better and turn it around' players will go all 'round shouldered' and give up. 4. This forum will implode and create a black hole from the gravitational force with the massive overload it will fact at 5.00pm Saturday. 5. All the 'FACT', '100%' 'Why should I lie?' 'Believe it or not' 'My mate/taxi driver/steward/NC's dog handler' stories are just that - stories, big tall ones to make the teller seem important, big or just feel better. 6. We will know when the club tells us.

Freedom of the press? Quote: "You might as well tell me something because if you don't I'm going to make it up anyway" Was this?: a. An electrician b. A coal miner c. A reporter for the Daily Mirror reporting on a murder case interviewing someone two houses down from the event. Answers on a postcard please.
