Markus Liebherr RIP. All tributes here please.
Perennial Underachiever replied to camdijk's topic in Golden Posts
Stunning and shocking news, and totally unexpected. 62 is no age. RIP Markus and thank you for saving the Saints. Let's win League 1 for the great man. -
Agreed, me too. And the better side lost today - we were much better than them for all of the first half and a lot of the second and were only undone on the break. They are flattered by the scoreline. For the day when we pass them again - if they don't get wound up first.
-
Yeah same here. I couldn't go so had to watch on ITV and we didn't deserve that 4-1 hammering. We were by far the better side for most of the match and to lose to those c**ts is sickening - while I am not surprised we lost, I'd be deluding myself if I was, 4-1 is just sickening beyond belief and flatters the Skates. Agreed. I felt the same way when the draw was made. Awaiting incoming gloating from supporters of a club which should not even BE in existence. :smt086:smt086 Hopefully justice will eventually be done and the High Court will eventually do the right thing.

Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold...

First and foremost - the Skates, in revenge for that 4-1 hammering we got at their cow shed of a ground in April 2005. -
Words that come back to haunt you

'The future's bright, the future's red and white'. This was in 2002/2003. The future got darker since then. -
I agree. While I hate Lord Hawhaw and the FL and I think that this last minute hitch could have been dealt with far earlier in proceedings, I don't think that firing off angry (and no doubt abusive emails in some cases) is going to help the club's cause, tempting though it is. If the whole thing fails and the club goes under, then let's let Hawhaw and cronies know exactly what we think of them directly, but until then we'd be best served keeping our thoughts on the forums.

Would You Take The Ten Point Deduction
Perennial Underachiever replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Personally, while I don't agree with the deduction, I also think that Pinnacle and any other would-be buyer of the club should let it go and concentrate on rebuilding so we have a club to support. A ten point deficit is not the end of the world and is possible to wipe out with a run of good early results. Don't ruin a football club because of a principle. -
The best we can hope for now is that some '11th hour' bid shows up before the worst happens. It's very sad but unless someone pulls off a miracle then I can't see our club in any league next season.

Incredible! Brighton secure £93m from new owner!
Perennial Underachiever replied to Saint Fan CaM's topic in The Saints
Agreed, it's so frustrating. I feel the whole thing - club, finances, the lot - has been mismanaged and is still being mismanaged. This thing with Pinnacle/MLT and other potential bidders is farcical. What the ****'s going on? How hard can it be to single out the highest bidder, take the money and secure the club from vanishing? -
Ensure that Mr Lowe Snr never met Mrs Lowe. On on that note I've used up my 3 posts for the day.
-
No, but we still ended up broke, docked points and with two relegations. Same outcome. At least Leeds tried. What did tosser Lowe do? Budgeted for relegation - a self fulfilling prophecy if ever I saw one. Oh well, let's hope the team - whatever team we will now have - show some bottle in L1, get results, and we can get out of this mess. I'm in SE Asia. Distance doesn't soften the blow any.

League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season
Perennial Underachiever replied to Danny's topic in The Saints
Stupid retarded system. But retarded though the FL is, the biggest criminals are Lowe and Wilde, et al. I hope they rot in hell. -
Saints 0 - 3 Man United Post Match Reaction
Perennial Underachiever replied to Baj's topic in The Saints
Well thank **** that it was no worse than a 3-0 defeat. Certainly not the 7, 8 or 9-0 I was afraid of. Mike Riley is still a ****, though. Anyway, I am glad this game's over and we are out of the FA Cup, time to concentrate on the league and have an uphill battle to avoid going down into an even ****ter league than the one we're already in. Go down to League One and administration is likely. -
Plymouth vs Saints - Post Match Thoughts
Perennial Underachiever replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
Demoralising. Depressing. Disappointing. Doomed. Awful, awful, awful. Oh well, we'll walk League One. Yeah...right... LOWE OUT! POORTVLIET OUT! -
Totally demoralising.

Preston 2-3 Saints - You've Gotta be Havin' a Laugh
Perennial Underachiever replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Fantastic. 2-0 down, looking dead and buried, then this turnaround. Stunning. -
Harry Redkrapp's ego knows no bounds!!
Perennial Underachiever replied to equalizer's topic in The Lounge
No, but with luck it might suck him in. Unfortunately it'll probably spit him right back out again. -
When I heard on Solent this morning that Redkrap had ditched Scumpey for Spuds, my initial reaction was disbelief as I didn't think he would leave them this time. Then I started laughing. I expect he'll be raiding the skates for their best players come January leaving them well and truly in the crap. With a little luck it'll put a big spanner in the works of the skates' season. Redkrap is also going to be awarded the Freedom of the City of Portsmouth on Tuesday. Ironic, and not a little hilarious.

Swansea vs Saints - Post Match Reaction
Perennial Underachiever replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Not forgetting that Leeds also won the Premiership in its first (I think) year. Anyway, I totally agree with you. I remember Lowe saying that 'we mustn't do a Leeds' and I also remember him saying in early 2004 that Saints were the best equipped team financially in the event of relegation - a self-fulfilling prophecy as that was exactly what happened and, as for being financially well-equipped, well look at the nice mess we're in now. Never mind 'not doing a Leeds' the outcome for both clubs is going to be the same barring some miracle in the form of a takeover that isn't likely to happen, especially in the current financial climate. -

What utter crap. Total football my arse. Not very eloquent I know but who cares. -
Saints 0-3 Watford - First half and half-time
Perennial Underachiever replied to a topic in The Saints
This is ludicrous. Can't even score penalties, can't defend, it'd be comical if it wasn't so damned infuriating. Has someone, somewhere, got a very large bet on? And why does Poortvliet persist with McGoldrick and a 4-5-1 system? Both are useless. -
Fans are demoralised, rather than just apathetic.
-
Total football? Total ******** more like.
-
Agreed. This is going to be a rotten season and I fear the worst.

That's the nearest that he'll ever get to managing a real England side.
