Totally agree. I havent got overly excited about our new rich owner, just mighty glad the club is alive and kicking. I expect us to survive in this league this season and if lucky maybe even get to the playoffs.....but realistically i expect next season would be the one to look for promotion.

Just need the correct choice of manager now!

Bloody hell these new guys don't mess about do they. They obviously knew Wotte would not be kept on and must have someone lined up or a bloody good idea about who they want!! Personally i believe this is the right choice. Feel sorry for him and he must be gutted because his lunchtime interview at Staplewood showed he did not even have an inclining this was coming! How long before the new manager is announced then...the rate these new guys are going then i would not be surprised to see the new manager unveiled within the next 72 hours

Like everyone else on here i have been following the events of our soap saga of a takeover on a daily if not hourly basis, i believe i have worn out my refresh button and worn out my better half with my constant ramblings about failed bids etc. When the news came through yesterday afternoon that we had all been waiting for i was elated as the next Saints fan but rather than type away at my keyboard and join in the celebrations i went and id some gardening and simply reflected on being a Saints fan. Without our club and without our history and all the ups and downs we have had to endure it just would not be the same. We are Southampton no matter what life chucks at us. You can keep you Chelski's, Manure and the rest, there is only one club that gives a fan every emotion under the sun and that SFC. Here's to a bright new future and a united Southampton on and off the pitch

It is bloody ridiculous, one minute we cant find anyone remotely interested in buying us and are virtually at deaths door and then come along two loaded parties that are desperate to buy us. It beggars belief that this overseas group are now complaining....if they had wanted us that badly they should have pulled their bloody finger out weeks if not months ago :mad: Come on Swiss just complete today and let this be an end to it!!

This goes back to what i have said before, the Echo are crap at reporting. It's all very one sided crap. So who do we believe the FL who wanted us to waive a legal right of appeal.....or MLT who himself yesterday when interviewed said there were OTHER issues the FL were trying to impose that the financial backers could not accept!!! Sorry but i would rather believe MLT than the FL and the crap Echo!!

If this story had come from anywhere but the Echo i would have a bit of optimism.....however we all no what complete crap the Echo prints, a group of school kids could produce a better and more accurate tabloid :mad:
