If we could keep Adams and Armstrong up front we'd have 2 strikers who know the champ and should do well. JWP, Salisu and KWP will be off. The rest? I don't care about them but I suspect most will stay, mainly because no-one in the prem will have them.

Just want to get this season over and done with, sell off the deadwood and regroup in the championship. Tired of all of it.
-
City want the points so no chance of an upset. 3-0 or 4-0 to them.
-
Now need 13-15 points from 9 games just to be in the mix. City\Arse\Newcastle are write offs. 6 games to get 13-15 points. Not going to happen is it.
-
Struggling to see us getting anything up there, they are at home and better than us. That means we'll win.
-
In itself this was a decent point but we needed 3. The hill gets steeper.
-
Forget Utd, anything is a bonus. Still need 15 points from the remaining 12 games to be in the mix. Unlikely from what I've seen so far but until it's mathematically impossible to stay up I'm not giving up..
-
No one expects us to get anything from this so we'll probably get the win. Don't ask me how though.

Not long till the cricket season starts. Hampshire also know how to win.

Relegation - What two teams do we take with us
Cabrone replied to Lee On Solent Saint's topic in The Saints
Firstly whilst I think we'll probably get relegated I haven't quite closed the door on us yet. There are still 14 games left and we have seen what the team can do against City - if only someone could get into their heads. For me it isn't over till it's mathematical. That said if we went down my heart would love Everton to come down with us. However if they did they'd be a big rival for promotion so I'd rather Bournemouth and Leeds. If this club has any brains left in it they should be prepping for champ football next season because the odds are definitely going in that direction. -
Need probably 18 more points just to be in the final mix so 6 wins out of 14 games left. That's looking tough but after City and Chelsea there is a team in there somewhere. My money would be on us getting relegated but there is still some hope that the new guy can coax out that team rather than this Leeds team.
-
They need to go there believing in a win, a draw isn't good enough. There is still just about enough life in this team to pull out of this.
-
Great result yesterday, finally convinced the board to get rid of the charlatan that they hired in the first place. Still far from confident we'll escape but at least we aren't 100% nailed on as we were with Jones in charge.
-
Can the team that beat City please come back? I know they are there somewhere.
-
3 wins, 3 points, tails up and right back in the mix. As good as it gets. Lets hope this causes Everton to go even more into a nosedive, more than happy to see them drop plus that would be 1 relegation spot filled.
-
Fantastic result and shows the benefit of taking the cups seriously. Maybe these last 2 games will turn out to be the thing that keeps us up this season.
-
Palace gift wrapped that for us with some comical defending so whilst a win is a win the same old problems exist i.e. where are the goals coming from? It wasn't the kind of win that made me think we had enough to get out of this but at least it gives the team some heart.
-
The cup should be a decent opportunity to regain some form but I just can't see it from this team. I suspect Palace will win comfortably.
-
That's the ultimate stat, that's what it is all about. Football is relative, fans want to see the team win regardless of division. I got way more enjoyment watching us in league 1 than I do watching us right now. It's killing the fan base.

This was always a nailed on loss. We'll see what the new manager is all about in January.
-
Sad to see Ralph go but it was time. Best of luck to the new guy, he's going to need it.

Saints 1-4 Newcastle - Match Thread
Cabrone replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
The difference was that they needed 1 chance to convert, we need 10. We need a proven clinical striker, the experimentation on championship signings isn't working. That's easier said than done though. -
I like Ralph but it looks like his time is up. He's lost the spark and is just going through the motions. We need an injection of energy otherwise we'll be relegated.
-
2-2. We are just the kind of consistently inconsistent team to get something out of this.
-
He was a top class attacking midfielder who scored a lot of goals for us. I'd love to see him in the current team, he'd be amazing. RIP David Armstrong.
