  1. From a NCFC perspective its a poor poor decision. Really, if NCFC want to see what a managerial merry go round does to a club then they need to look no further than L**e and his **** poor record here. It's guaranteed failure! Also why did they let him rebuild the team then sack him almost instantly? Shades of the Sturrock debacle...... If I was a NCFC fan I'd be pretty upset about it, especially as the guy was a bit of a Canary legend but as a SFC fan I'm quite happy. If one of our rivals wants to shoot itself in the foot then that's fine by me!
  2. Well if GR is to go then I'd still play him till the time he goes, I want to see what a Rasiak\Lambert partnership could do in this league. Hopefully he'll have a change of heart because he'd be lethal in this div, esp with a guy like Lambert setting him up.
  3. Decent draw, great chance for the lads to see how well they can do against prem opposition. Hopefully by the time of the game we will be confidently in the winning way and Brum will have had their backsides kicked a few times. If we play well I think it's winnable.

    Lambert

I really hope we can keep Rasiak, he'll do the business in this league for sure. Hopefully the statement of intent made by the signing of Lambert might pursuade him to stick around. Lambert\Rasiak combo = 50 goals+. As for Saga - although he put some effort in on Sat (with poor service) his departure won't bothered me too much.

    Lambert

Now we have a goal machine we need a good ball winning midfield general + a good wide man to give him some service.

    Lambert

The guy looks like a league 1 Alan Shearer. With 29 goals last season and 1 already this season he looks like another cracking signing.
  7. Janker's almost 35 now so if he's kept himself in good nick he could still be OK for 1 or poss 2 seasons. Never rated him as an international but he could smash this league to bits. Can't ever see him coming here but a theoretical front line of him + Rasiak would be scary (for the opposition that is). However no matter how good a striker is he still needs service and our midfield do not look capable at the moment of giving decent service. Therefore I'd rather spend my cash on a good ball winning central midfielder + a good wide midfielder. Sort out the midfield and we already have strikers that can score!
  8. Millwall will be there or thereabouts at the end so not a bad result. Midfield is too lightweight though, really need 1 or 2 battlers in there. 9 points till parity!
  9. If he puts some real heart into his performances then I'd welcome him staying but so far I think he's really underperformed for us. If they roll their sleeves up Raz + Saga could go through this division like a knife through butter.
  10. Millwall. If we could scrape the playoffs I'd fancy our chances.
  11. Got to agree with that, sounds very good. I think we still need one or two combative midfielders (Holland?) and keep Rasiak and I think we'll have a very good looking team for this season.
  12. SJ is right - he was treated badly by the club (i.e. R****t L**e). I also completely understand why he would rather play at a higher level at this late stage of his career. Best of luck Stern and thanks for the goals but you've moved on and this is all water under the bridge now. Draw a line and move on.
  13. IN Custard Creams OUT Marmite
  14. 1-1 or failing that 2-1 to us. Rasiak to get at least 1 goal.
  15. I've always liked Trundle but is he as good as he was and would he accept a realistic wage? If the answers are yes then at 32/33 he could still do a good job for us for a year or two.
  16. Please let this be true. Ras can and will score the goals to give us a good chance of getting out of this league. AP, put your arm around him and promise to make him the key man up front. If Saga isn't interested in staying then get a pacy partner for him to play off. Come on Greg, give us a chance. You could be a hero this season.
  17. Saga is worth around 500k but Raz has got to be worth 1m+ IMO. If Saga isn't bothered then I don't mind him going but Raz would be a big loss. If I was AP I'd be kissing his arse to stay.
  18. Between -1 and +1.
  19. Good article. I'm a big fan of Nigel Clough (and was a big fan of his dad) and think he's going to become a top manager in time. If Derby stick with him they will do very well for themselves. If AP could emulate what NC is doing at Derby I'd be happy. This club desperately needs some stability now.
  20. Real Shame, was hoping he'd be a big part of a promotion push but that's life I guess. Thanks for the goals SJ and best of luck to you. Let's hope we can: - Get a decent replacement. - Keep Rasiak (looking unlikely at the moment).
  21. About the same as hearing a Rupert Lowe apology.....
  22. Hope this isn't true. If he goes then keeping Rasiak becomes an even bigger priority.
  23. Don't agree Cowesboy, what fans really want to see is endeavour by the players. Why was Frannie Benali so popular? It wasn't because he was the most talented but rather that he gave it everything. If the team gives it their all then most fans will stick with them.

    Rasiak

I'd try everything to keep him as we'd need 2 players to replace his goal scoring power (IMO), probably a striker + a goal scoring midfielder. Keeping Rasiak would be as big a coup as keeping KD and would be a big statement of intent. Of course if he really wants to go then that's life but while he's here we should try everything to keep him.

    Rasiak

I really hope Raz stays. Who cares if he doesn't run around a lot - he will score 25+ in this league and that is all that counts when you are paid to score goals.
