Same team as Preston. Cardiff fans will want to stick one on RM but we will be more motivated. 3-1 to us.
-
PNE looked like a deflated team after Sat but you can only beat what is Infront of you and we played some really good stuff. McCarthy was fine and Che looks like he might be up for the next 5 cup finals. I hope so, an in form Che would be a scary prospect for the opposition. Only regret was that we didn't twist the knife more in 2nd half and work on that g.d. Time will tell if that becomes relevant or not but PNE were there for the plundering.

Don't take your foot off their throats Saints, we got 3 in the first half so lets get 3-4 in the 2nd. Follow this with a good thumping of Cardiff and we could be somewhere close enough to Leeds g.d. to overturn it on the last day (if it comes to it).
-
I'm hoping that Saturday has popped PNE's balloon and we can capitalise. Win here and the top 3 will be seriously wetting the bed. Keep on applying the pressure and hope they succumb. Have to say though that the defence gives me the jitters.

Never in doubt Aside from the top 3 Preston also lost to Norwich so they'll be deflated on Tuesday, pretty much blown their chances of playoffs now.
-
Looking at the fixtures I think Leicester are favourites to drop into the playoffs now. Can we incredibly get back into it? What a tease.
-
One more win guarantees at least a place in the 4th/5th playoff slot. Let's go forth and get the win.
-
Almost mathematically certain of playoffs now (not that there was much doubt). Given up on top 2 - if it happens then great but more interested in how the playoffs will shake up now and that looks like Norwich or West Brom - right now I'd take West Brom.
-
What a frustrating result. We'll go and beat Ipswich now, that would be such a Saints thing to do.
-
Unlucky for Boro but right now we should be mentally prepared for 10 cup finals. That could change into a playoff meander but at the moment wins are all that count. Boro are a bit random but if we have our heads on straight we should win.
-
You can have all the talent in the world but if your head isn't right it's not worth a thing. I hope for his sake he can figure his way out.
-
This season we may have a team reaching 100 points and not getting an automatic spot. Just crazy. Got to keep on going but I think we blew it in Sep\Feb.
-
I like him but he's still pretty raw. As others have said if he could start putting some end product on that raw talent he'd be a hell of a player. He has certainly no problems getting around defenders. Not sure RM trusts him though.
-
Entertaining win in the end but we made hard work of it when we really should have been out of sight. When Sunderland finally sussed our defence and started pressing up the pitch the defence cracked and we conceded 2. Play the same kamikaze defence against the top 3 and they will really punish us.

I want us to win the league but I don't care about the premier league. The champ is way better, look at how many teams are involved in promotion\relegation - almost everyone. The prem is a durge.
-
Well at least they know that they have to win pretty much every game now. No messing around with formations etc - just play the best 11 and let's see how far we get. PNE are decent but I think we will win.
-
Of course, we strive for top 2 and while there is a chance we have to keep on going but odds are we won't make it up. Looking at Ipswich's fixtures - the next 3 should be wins and then they have a more testing run. Standouts are us at home and Norwich (a). We must beat them and I fancy Norwich to beat them, local rivalry + Norwich are looking decent now. They also have Boro(h), Cov(a), Hull(a) which will be tough so it's not quite over yet. Trouble is then we have Leeds - like Ipswich the next 3 should be wins and then they have a more challenging run Hull(h), Cov(a), Sunderland(h), Boro(a), QPR(a) (which might be a trickier proposition than we think) and us on the last day - again there is a chance. Looks like Boro\Cov and Hull have a big say in all of this. IMO we need to win 9/10 out of 11 to be in the mix, 3 of them are away to the top 3 and there are a bunch of tricky home games in there too. It could be that you need 100+ to get autos, crazy but not this season it seems. Not impossible but it's a very tall mountain now.
-
When we lost 4 in Sept it took 4 months and 20+ unbeaten to get back into it. We've just lost another 3 and only have 11 games left. Autos look gone, prepare for the playoffs.
-
After the last run of games we will struggle to get top 2. Ipswich have a nice run in and have put themselves back in a good position. We absolutely need to win the games at Leicester and Ipswich and I can't see it. Too many weaknesses in this team. Never say never though.
-
Finish like we did against Pool and we'll get a draw at best. If AA gets his scoring boots on again we'll win this.
-
As always in a prem v champ game the difference was the finishing. We gave it a decent go but I don't think anyone is surprised at the result. Back to the bread and butter games.
-
That's sad to hear, as a player he was a rock solid CB and as a manager his teams always provided fantastic entertainment. Tiss, Shearer and Rod Wallace came through under him. RIP Chris Nicholl.
-
I think that is that. Need to get some momentum for the playoffs, autos are looking dead now.
-
Got to admit autos are looking tougher now but Leeds will slip up and we need to be there to catch them. Just got to keep on winning. Ipswich are also still very much in there too.
-
The Leeds game may well to be to our advantage if we can stay within 3 of them and improve our g.d. It becomes our free hit rather than theirs.
