  1. Different programmes appeal to different people, and the BBC produces alot of stuff which I like, ITV minus a couple of programmes produces nothing I like. ITV is ****.
  2. My opinion, I'm allowed it and judging by the sales and reviews of the two said albums many people agree with me.
  3. The BBC produce a wide range of diverse programmes and not just ones that appeal to millions of people like the one you mention. They are obliged to make decent thought provoking television that Sky would never make because the profit just isn't there. While I am not a fan of Strictly Come Dancing, it's clear it appeals to many people and therefore worth the BBC producing it. The Beeb is one of the best things about this country, please don't help destroy it. The only channels I watch are BBC ones, and sometimes Channel 4 which is another Public Service broadcaster! I watch commercial channels like ITV a few times a year and that is it. Oh yea, and what Ash said.
  4. That is ****, really ****. But Pardrew said it would take till september for things to sort itself out, we have been improving so I will give him till then.
  5. I think a good relationship between the parent and the child is one of the most important things in a childs developement, you don't want it as some long distance cold relationship where the parent acts as some sort of punisher. Parents should be somewhere that as a child, you are never afraid to turn too.
  6. No way has all their recent stuff been ****e! Last 2 albums were amazing.
  7. I don't think it is a teachers right or place to hit children as a punishment, and I know for a fact many teachers would feel uncomfortable doing this as well. However, my dad did smack me very occasionally as a young Child if I did something particulally bad. I think the choice should lie with the parents though, I don't think it helps much in most cases and I think other methods are just as effective, and sometimes the use of a cane for example can make matters worse in the long run.
  8. Once in 1995, and nothing so official like this.
  9. If this is really the end of Oasis, then I shall be very sad indeed.
  10. No, they don't have to pay it. You can chose not to have TV And anyway, anyone with half a brain can see the licence fee is great value for money.
  11. Some teachers are stupid and get it wrong as well. She obviously worked really hard. Well done to her. Alot of the time it can be because you don't particulally get on with the teacher they predict you low, unprofessional, but it happens.
  12. Well, you were never going to get all your predicted grades, espcially if you are predicted highly like you were I assume. Everyone seems to always drop one or two by a grade or so.
  13. That's pretty damn good to be honest. GCSE's aren't easy, you have to know alot on many different subjects to come out with top top marks(lots of A*'s), most people get C's and B's, and theres nothing wrong with that, that's the point of the C grade. When they say 99.7% pass rate or whatever it is(might be a bit lower than that, they are talking about G grade upwards and anyone can get a G grade, it's that easy, but few will be able to get several A*'s.
  14. To be honest, alot of people aren't that amazing at maths, but your statement 'As far as Im concerned kids are dimmer than they were 10-20-30-years ago. Ask any of them to do some mental arithmatic and they get into a hot sweat' is a bit sweeping and unfair. There have always been people not so good at maths and there is no proof that there are any more these days.
  15. Yer, GCSE's are easy to get a C at like 66%ish of grades and above got apparently if you have a little bit of sense.
  16. Is that a hobby of yours then? Jumping out on children asking them what 17 times 6 is? No wonder they are breaking out in a hot sweat!
  17. Oh, yer don't get me wrong, most people can get a C grade pass(I assume that's what you mean as a pass, not a G grade?), but it's not so easy to get strings of A*'s and A's.
  18. One of my A's was in geography... well, I guess the idea is to make sure some amount of people get the top grades? So they moderate it. Remember, when they say 20% of grades were A or A*, most of those grades will belong to a much smaller percentage of people. I get annoyed when people say they are easy and worthless, I worked really hard for two years on coursework and again for exams!
  19. Anyone else get theirs today? 7 A*'s, 5 A's and a B, really happy
  20. I think you need to look at it in context as well, you'd expect those clubs with larger crowds at their games to have more banning orders.
  21. Oh, is he leaving again?

She is probably a bit of both to be honest.
  23. I'm 16 and can say I know alot of this stuff.
  24. I think what's going on in their homes needs to be throughly vetted and perhaps the children given some sort of psycological treatment. The thing is you aren't legally responsible for your actions in this country untill the age of 10.
  25. Obviously the attacking knew he was a footballer, maybe pre-mediatated? Stabbed in both legs with his job is too much of a coinsedence. Seems like someone wanted not to kill him, but to end his career.
