Are we keeping Alcaraz?

My plan is to get the women’s team one. Do not want rollbit advertising on me as I walk around. Online store doesn’t seem to give the option to do the women’s team one in men’s sizing though?

Bit concerned that tickets need to be posted. Postal service is very intermittent for me these days. Did I miss an e-ticket option? edit: have checked and seen all are paper! Could be dodgy given how slow post is these days!

This attitude is potentially quite damaging, so replying for educational purposes. The biggest predictor of coming back to life after cardiac arrest is time to CPR, limiting CPR interruptions (even seconds are important), and time to defibrillation if in a compatible rhythm. It’s also worth saying that if CPR is going to work it is probably going to work within the first 10 minutes, so it’s very time tight. Never try to move someone unless it is literally unsafe to perform CPR in that area.

Would personally stick away from the Brewhouse and the Eagle. Tourist town. Am a fan of the Cambridge Blue and I expect most people here would be too. Also rate the Geldart, the Blue Moon and Devonshire Arms. Blue Moon has the widest beer selection of the 3 and is probably my favourite of them. If you can get out towards the royal standard as well, it has great Belgian beers on tap. Cambridge is very blessed with good pubs, so definitely stay away from spoons!

Most exciting game of football I've seen us play in for quite some time tbh. Really end to end stuff. We owe a lot to Forster tonight - so many top saves. But we looked good going forward as well. I still think we miss a proper finisher though since Ings has gone, as so many good chances get missed. Sadly, no one else in the team seems to have his finishing skill. But overall, I'm very happy!

But to get ahead of ourselves... if we challenge for Europe this season, and then have a very good start next season, you might start to see a bigger club circling. And ultimately, I doubt anyone is going to say no to the extra cash and bigger shot at 'glory'. They are all professionals afterall. But he does need to at least have 1-2 proper consistent seasons with Saints first.

I really can not see this leading to a break off league. As others have said, much of the position of the big clubs comes from their status as big within their own wealthy leagues and within their country. Becoming primary 'losers' in a super league isn't going to help with that. What is a more likely end goal is the reduction of the prominence of domestic football. Which is pretty much what they are doing anyway with the abolition of the league cup, reduction to 18 teams etc. It leaves a lot more space for an expanded (in games) concurrent champions league.

Man Utd have really found good form since the unlock, and also have a lot to play for right now. So I expect their motivation to be very high. We are also playing well, but I think that sadly they have the players, form and motivation so expecting a loss. That said, I do not think it will be a stuffing and I can see us scoring - so I guess 2-1 to Man Utd. Still, anything can happen!

All the evidence suggests that you would develop some sort of immune response to COVID-19. The length of that response we do not know yet. Remember, the current coronavirus test will not be 100% accurate. There will be false positives. Furthermore, with the amount of individuals contracting this, it might just be that for whatever reason 1 individual didn't raise a long-lasting immune response. Basically, there are many better explainations to the very few reported cases of two separate positive tests on the same individual. The anti-body test will be very important in mapping the spread of the condition, and allowing some people to return to certain working positions assuming they take the proper precautions not to spread the condition. It will not bring an end to crisis though which will I suspect last months, if not upwards of a year. Managing it over this length of time is the only way to prevent hundreds of thousands of deaths and a complete crippling of our public services.

My understanding is coronavirus vaccine development fell down the priority list somewhat after SARS fell away. That's where governments need to intervene and have a bit of forward thinking, but that's by the by. The coronaviruses share a lot of structure, but you still need to do the research to understand what will raise effective immunity, without side effects. For that you need a good understanding of the main protein structures etc of this particular virus! And for that you need the research (see above). Viruses can have a pretty fast mutation rate also and just little changes can mean the immune system is evaded or not as good at responding. Our immune seveillance is very specific (which is good).

I'm all up for some discussion of changing funding models, but why on earth would anyone want to 'privatise' the BBC and abandon the public service broadcasting mandate? The kind of coverage and range of programmes it does will not be met by other broadcasters and certainly not at the same price. The BBC is a good moderator when it comes to standards. We should be very suspicious of where this government wants to take us.

Most of what I've seen from VAR has been fine tbh - with the exception of some of the offside rulings, which I think should give players the benefit of the doubt.. I'd keep it, but clarify offside rules and encourage the referees to look at foul decisions on the screens at the side of the pitch. Do that and it'll be fine.

Well, there is definitely a split in the Remain approach. But you'd expect in an audience of that size for there to be at least a 10-15% friendly's and maybe another 5-10% of potential friendlys, not just 100% hostile. Anyway, it is what it is. And as I said, I think she actually did well given the circumstances. Answered all the questions directly etc. Boris just blustered his way through.

Well, I'm not one to normally buy into conspiracies about audiences, but the audience did seem Labour Remain leaning as a whole. So it was pretty hostile to Swinson and Johnson for starters. Out of the latter two, I actually think Swinson dealt with the hostility best, but wow it was an onslaught. Fair play to her. Sadly, I still think we are headed for an overall Johnson Majority, but hopefully it can be significantly reduced by good local performances.

I just can't quite work out where Man U are as a team. They lost a bit of the early Solskjaer swagger late last season, and it's too early to know this season whether it is back or not. I guess a point would be a good result...

And that should be that then. Can not wait to see how this team develops next year. We seem to be performing really well, and getting good results against Division 2 teams of the PL. Wonder if we could be up there competiting to be the best of the rest again.
