I don't think he knows anything about whats going on at the club, he may heard things through other people or things throught the media who also know bugger all whats going on at the club. It was the same with Mark Dennis on the radio the other day, ex-pros like to think they know is going on but know nothing, just rumour & conjection.

I think Sky know as much about whats going on as 99.9% of posters on here... bugger all. Since the Liebherr family saved us last year their have been very few if any leaks from so called 'club insiders'.

There was a suggestion (how informed I'm not sure) that it was Cortese, not Pardew, that wanted Guly signed, and Cortese wasn't happy that he didn't start on Saturday. Don't believe that at all.

Rupert Lowe signed players when we didn't have a permanent manager in charge but then again he signed players when we did have full time manager.

Not overly surprised by Pardew's sacking but shocked at the timing of it, I think Cortese knows who he wants as our next manager but isn't iminent. I will judge Cortese from once the new mananger is in because that will defo be his decision and his man, especially with all the speculation over the last year that Pards wasn't his first choice.

I thought he was much better in open play tonight, a constant threat along with Lallana but his corners & free-kicks were woeful again.

I thought we played very well tonight, Puncheon was much better in open play but his crossing from dead ball situations were poor again. Hammond a much better game, Lallana along with Barnard were outstanding. Good performance from Martin next to Fonte. Lambert struggled tonight which hopefully is just rustyness.

I don't expect more than 23/24k at most even though the circumstances leading up to this game, Orient will bring very little away support and thats why we've got block 43. The fact is, its still pricey when you add on the 'booking' fees especially during the kids holidays when if you've got kids money doesn't last long. Hopefully we're get a good walk up on the day to boost the attendance.
