what happened to "Surman and Lallana off as soon as window opens"
The Godfather replied to Ken Tone's topic in The Saints
With these two players in mind, look at them individually. Surman's other half is due to give birth on Saturday and is unlikely to move unless it suits him & his family. It's more likely that he'll go in the summer. With Lallana we would have to give Bournemouth a 25% sell on fee, so unless a large bid comes in he's not going anywhere. I don't see clubs buying him at the moment until he proves himself alot more than he has done so far (the boy has a natural talent and will be a good player in the future). But at the moment he's nowhere near the level of when we sold Walcott & Bale. I think people have read to much into paper speculation (all gone quiet recently) and rumours they've heard from a taxi driver etc. -
Doncaster_ Most important game of season?
The Godfather replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
If we are going to have a chance of staying up its our home form will have to change dramatically, starting with Doncaster on Saturday. -
Cork is just a good player at this level. Centre half is not his best position, its just he can play several position very well. Of course we still miss him. I'd rather him at right back than lloyd james.

We don't get 17k at home, we get just under 15k anything higher depends on the away support.
-
This will do him good I think, the lad needs toughening up a bit as he seems a bit lightweight for the Championship at the moment.
-
Derby played a good game tonight, in comparison last Sunday we were never going score in a million years. The fact it was embarrasing at the end when Rooney & co were not taking the shot but trying to get Anderson his first goal for the club. Their was no battling or fight. All we did was pass the ball around and tried to look nice on the ball.

The Official Saints Web "He Could Do A Good Job For Us" Thread
The Godfather replied to Chez's topic in The Saints
He's more of an attacking midfielder than a striker, certainly not a goalscorer. We need two centre halfs and a goalscorer if we are going to have any chance of staying up. -
We wouldn't screw it up. We're the retail version of Woolworths/zavvi.
-
Pattersonis starting up front, I heard this from family this afternoon.
-
Ryan Smith is ****, we're preparing for conference south with players like that.
-
Saga won't be involved in the first team this month while dictator Lowe has a chance of loaning or selling him.
-
Well with Perry & Lancashire our only centre-backs and with our world class winger Smith, I suspect we will score zero and the mancs will mount a cricket score.
-
I heard a rumour that the match won't be going ahead and the mancs will be awarded the game by default as we won't be-able to field eleven players as they've all been sold. The FA won't let us play our under 16's.

Best goal seen live FOR saints at SMS/The Dell
The Godfather replied to Nexstar's topic in The Saints
Mick Channon vs Liverpool 1982, brilliant team goal. -
But Sheffield united won't go up unless they do it through the play-offs which I can't see,so thats the Dyer option out of the way. Why would they want Dyer if they got promoted?
-
I think if things had gone badly early on yesterday then the anti-lowe chants would of started and the atmosphere would of been bad. I think in future home games if we perform well the atmosphere will be fine but the opposite will happen if we go two goals down early on.
-
The rumour around the ground today was Surman to West Brom for 1.2million and Lallana to the same place for 5million.
-
I heard over the weekend that Wotton & Portaloo had a blazing row and thats why wottons off somewhere else in January.
-
What a load of nonsense answers they were, baciscally their will be no change in system and we've still got no plan B. As for the quote about the system and Man Utd etc play the same way, well they've got the players and are not playing in the Championship.

Take a shot gun and an extra pair of sandals.

I thought the AGM is on Tuesday not Monday.
-
Its just getting worse game by game. No creativity, no strikers, no battle and no leadership. If Portaloo thinks we played two up front during the second half then I didn't see it, all I saw was BWP playing wide with Euell used as the target man. The only positive was Lee Holmes coming back, thought he played well for the time he was on after a longish layoff. Its time for a re-think by getting a manager who knows this division and how to play in it.

15,000 tickets sold, Season ticket holder allowed to buy more tickets
The Godfather replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
I should hope so to (don't buy for any man utd fans as thats a crime in my book), as for their not being hardly any queues alot people phone to book their tickets. -
Utter rubbish tonight, carried on from the second half on Saturday. No fire power up front (again), poor defending, no leadership on or off the pitch.
-
I thought we were the better side in the first half, but didn't give their keeper enough to do. Then we struggled in the second half, couldn't keep the ball, kept giving it away cheaply and then payed the price and could of lost it in the end. BWP played well along with Kelvin Davis, as did the Pearce and Perry. Our midfield went missing in the second half but I can't see what Robertson offers upfront.
