  1. Have you considered Ljubljana? My GF and me went there back in march as part of a mini backpacking trip all round Slovenia, and it's a really beautiful city. A mate of mine went there a few years ago and he described it as "Prague but without the dickheads" which pretty much sums it up. There are plenty of cheapish places to stay in the old town by the river and there's loads of other stuff to do as well. Easyjet do some pretty cheap flights there, we went from Stansted, and the main airport is only a 25min bus ride from the city centre. Well worth investigating.
  2. I'm not, you're not, but Rubens himself is, and appears to have thrown the dummy out of the pram and blamed the change of strategy for handing the win to Button. I can understand his frustration due to the amount of times he will have been ordered to defer to Schumi when he was at Ferrari, but in this case he needs to look a little closer to home.
  3. Which just proves Ross Brawn's point that Rubens' lap times weren't quick enough. If a 3-stop should have been faster, then Rubens should have won. He didn't, ergo it was his lap times rather than the strategy that prevented him from winning.
  4. Lowe having the bare-faced cheek to accuse the Echo of causing division within the club..... Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. What an absolute tosser this guy is, if he reallt believes that the Echo are the ones responsible for the division over the last few years. Rupert, please just crawl back under your rock in the Cotswolds and never darken our land again.
  5. Yeah cos they would be so much better wouldn't they Seriously, I am going to take a leaf out of Monty Brewster's book and put my cross next to 'none of the above' when election time comes round. In all my lifetime (I'm 34) I have yet to see a politician who deserves my vote. They are each as bad as one another. It really doesn't matter who gets in. As for MPs expenses - how the hell is it justifiable that they can claim back for a big ****-off plasma TV and John Lewis furnishings? They earn a pretty decent wage to begin with and yet they still expect their employers to furnish their houses, and then have the temerity to expect to be paid extra just for turning up to work. Useless, spongeing fatcats the lot of them.
  6. Yep, I want to go and see it, but I have so far failed miserably to convince my girlfriend to come with me! Trailers look good and it has got some good reviews. I can't wait to see Simon Pegg as Scotty - that must have been his absloute dream role.
  7. What? Talk about football?????? This is Saintsweb for christs sake! The forum would just fall apart if all we had to talk about was football!
  8. They are repeating the first series next week and then the new series will be on the week after. I think.
  9. Did anybody watch the 'One Night Stand' special on BBC4 lastnight? ******* hilarious. I can't wait for the new series to begin in a few weeks. In fact I need to get hold of the DVD of the first series. One of the fuinniest shows in recent history.
  10. I think I have somehow contracted swine flu... I'm coming out in rashers
  11. Me too. I read in the Independent today that adverts for dodgy loans (like Ocean Finance) are to be banned. YIPPPEEEEEEE!!!!!
  12. Oh noooooo. You can never leave ;-) Cake?

    Ringo Starr

It seems that the Beatles are dying in order of talent. Oh well, at least Ringo knows he's got a few years left yet then.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W55dfJ79g0M Loltastic stuff
  15. Possibly the funniest thing ever on youtube
  16. Have just booked tickets to see Massive Attack at the 02 Academy in Sheffield in September. Been meaning to see them live for at least 10 years, so can't wait for that.
  17. I think that was the same year they gave the Spice Girls a lifetime achievement award. And they wonder why nobody takes it seriously any more
  18. Yeah I take your point. It's almost as bad as when the Brit Awards gave 'best dance act' to the Sugababes a few years back!:confused::confused:
  19. No, he really isn't. I saw him in Sheffield a while back and can't understand why everyone is so ready to suck his **** all the time. His production work is nothing more than average either. Your memory must be failing you mate. Red Alert wan't released until 1997
  20. MY excuses... 1. I live 200 miles away and a 7 hour round trip for a game of football, on top of the fuel cost, is not feasible for me. 2. I was made redundant a while back and I'm currently doing some crap temp work at not much more than minimum wage in order to make sure my mortgage gets paid and I have food on the table. A game of football, even one as important as tomorrow's at SMS, is waaaaaaaay down my list of priorities. 3. I have a gig in Leeds tomorrow night which I cannot cancel, will be earning money from, and have been looking forward to for ages. I wish I could be there to play my part, but I just can't.
  21. I'll have a go. Will be fun looking through my entire collection and coming up with something suitable for all tastes. I look forward to hearing some of these.
  22. Mr Wilde, you were more than happy to use this forum to further your own agenda back in 2006. Why have we not heard a single peep from you since it all went wrong? The very least you owe us, based on the promises you made at that time, is an explanation of your subsequent actions.
  23. Bombardier is a good bet. Very english and a fine ale as well.
  24. A good idea Scudamore, but I think we need to focus on something more worthy than the memorial day of someone who may or may not have existed, almost certainly didn't slay a dragon, definitely never even visited England, and whom we share as patron saint with numerous other countries.
  25. Pride in what exactly?
