  1. I've watched it again a few times and I can't even see any contact at all, Seaborne was just standing there watching him make a mess of an attempted overhead kick and the d1ckhead in the pink decided that it was a foul. I reckon 99% of referees would have realised this as well but that ref yesterday seemed to be forever looking for ways to penalise Saints for the smallest of incidents. The amount of times Lambert won headers in a 50-50 and was penalised for it was an utter joke.
  2. Why is everybody always blaming the pitches? The pitch at Tranmere wasn't exactly up to the same standard as SMS it's true, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as some you might see in this division at this time of year.
  3. Were they actually pompey fans though? Or were they actually Tranmere fans who thought it would be funny to wear pompey shirts just to wind the saints fans up?
  4. Just what purpose would it have served for me to get involved and inflame the situation further? Some people had obviously already made their minds up that they wanted some trouble so I fail to see what I could have achieved by speaking my mind to them. Knowing from previous experience how indiscriminate police can be at football matches I didn't want to get thrown out myself because I was there to watch the game, unlike some. FWIW there were a group of lads (I say lads, but some of them looked like they were in their forties at least) a few rows in front of us who seemed as though they weren't even the slightest bit interested in watching the game cos most of their time was spent watching what was going on in the home supporters stand next to us. These 'fans' were being watched very carefully by the stewards and the police all afternoon and when they did join in the singing it was pretty much just the anti-pompey songs that they bothered with. Like Delldays mentioned, some of our fans appear to developing (even more of) an obsession with Pompey lately and I find it utterly cringeworthy.
  5. Right, so just because I found the schoolyard attitude of some apparently grown up men to be appalling, that means I'm knocking the saints does it? OK... whatever you say. I'm guessing that you must be one of the kids who looked about twelve who were very bravely () arguing with the stewards from behind the safety of a barrier a few rows back while all this was going on. If you are the future generation of Saints' away supporters then god help us.
  6. They did though. They were moved away by the stewards very early on and asked to hide the flag, and when they gave it to somebody else later on it was confiscated by the police. Don't really see what more they could have done.
  7. I think he might have taken exception to some Saints fans singing "You're too short to referee" and "The referee's a midget".
  8. It was right down in the left corner so you wouldn't have seen it from the other end of the stand.
  9. Trust me, they were shocking. Kept giving free kicks against us just for 50-50s, yet books one of our players for diving when he clearly had his legs hacked. He was an utter, utter joke. I'm still at a loss to understand how he came to the conclusion that their player was fouled when he went for an overhead kick and fluffed it completely falling on his arse in the process. Apparently nowadays that deserves a penalty. Maybe I missed an important rule change or something.
  10. ...who decided to start scrapping with the stewards and police at the final whistle just because you were being taunted by a bunch of teenage kids with a Pompey flag. Well done, how very courageous of you, you must be very proud of yourselves tonight. Utter, utter morons. You are a pathetic embarrassment to our club and we can really do without fans like you.
  11. Yep this was exactly how I saw it too. Tranmere player went for an overhead kick and completely fluffed it, ending up on his backside with no contact from a single Saints player that I could see, and the ref gave them a penalty for it. Then a few minutes later Fonte clearly had his legs taken from under him by their defender and he got booked for diving. Utterly ridiculous referreeing. We didn't really do enough to deserve to win, even though on the few occasions we did get the ball down and play possession we were a class above Tranmere, but it seemed like every Saints player struggled to control the ball all afternoon and always needed an extra touch which gave Tranmere the time to close us down. Our long ball tactics didn't work and IMO AP left it far too late to bring on Antonio and Waigo cos they hardly had any time to make any impact on the game. Tranmere lacked any real quality and it's easy to see why they are where they are in the league. They didn't look likely to score from open play, but they closed down the midfield and denied Saints the opportunity to play our normal game. They obviously did their homework on us so fair play to them - they worked harder than we did and got a massive, massive slice of luck with the referreeing decisions.
  12. Didn't we go on a lengthy run of games without conceding under Hoddle?
  13. Personal loans at 279% APR, only from Kneecap Finance
  14. It was only about one minute in fact if you are referring to the game at Naaarich last weekend.
  15. Either he was just trying to sound 'down with it' by showing concern for something that millions of people in this country care about (football I mean - not the skates ... obviously!!!!) or he has seriously got his priorities wrong!
  16. Uh-oh... He don't look happy!
  17. So now administration has been confirmed, isn't it about time the thread title was changed again? Somehow 'takeover saga' just doesn't seem to hold any weight any more.
  18. So is it supposed to be pay day again today?
  19. You should be getting decent speeds because gaming is traffic is supposed to be prioritised 24-hrs a day on the Premium package. You might want to raise a ticket with the tech support team to have a look at it. I haven't had any training on that side yet so can't really tell you what's causing the slower speeds.
  20. Which package are you on?
  21. And yes, I work for Plusnet ;-)
  22. It's the cheapest deal around if it's price you are concerned about, but only if you live in a Market 3 area where there are enough competitiors. If you don't then the same package will cost you £11.99 so be careful when you sign up. And if you phone up and mention that you've seen the 3-month free deal on Martin lewis' money saving expert website then you will get just that - the first 3 months free. You get a free Thomson TG585 v7 router on a deferred 12-month contract, meaning that if you cancel the service within a year you have to pay £40 for the router and £30 setup fee, but they both get waived if you stay longer. Just one thing to be aware of though, there are certain restrictions on certain protocols during peak time as part of their traffic-shaping. Have a look here and select the Value package to see what restrictions there are.
  23. Aah, don't forget though that the selling players outside the transfer window was the PL's idea remember? Well, according to Storyteller anyway. He would like everyone to believe that the PL had the idea of allowing Poopey to sell players outside of the window, then made it public that Poopey would be asking for this special dispensation, then refused them permission for a scheme that was their idea in the first place. Riiiiiiiiiigghhhht
  24. Just watched Eden Lake...:smt104:smt103:vom::smt089:smt100:smt087:-( Need to find some comedy to watch now just to balance things up a bit! Good film though - 8/10
  25. Happy happy happy. To go away to the league-leaders who are in superb form and give them a lesson in how to play football getting a clean sheet in the process - you can't ask for better than that!
