  1. I was also referring to the one just now when they hit the bar.
  2. Clearly can't defend corners though.
  3. Exactly this.
  4. I can see a total collapse coming here.
  5. Yes - it's almost as if ALL our goalkeepers are being asked to play a certain way leading to them making identical errors.
  6. Oh fuck off.
  7. Wood is a red card waiting to happen isn't he. Oh - goal. Game over then.
  8. Ooooh, there's the light show. Next up is the shite show.
  9. We've already got two RBs starting. 3 would just be silly.
  10. He died peacefully in his jeep.
  11. That back 6 (KWP excepted) is horrific.
  12. When you get a txt from a courier to say your order is out for delivery today between a certain time, and you know you're not going to be in so you follow the link to select a different delivery option, but they still try and deliver it anyway. Every Fucking Time.
  13. Just seen the highlights. I have to say I agree with the offside call. Arma being where he was clearly would have influenced the keeper's position, because he had to assume that the ball in was meant for him so he could set himself to try and save any resulting shot. It was absolutely the right call.
  14. Louise Haigh is my local MP, and a very good one in that regard - she does a lot for the community and doesn't shy away from appearing at events. I even met her once at a local festival. I'm wondering if maybe this conviction is just a cover story, and that she's actually been forced out over something else entirely (like her comments about P&O nearly putting the kybosh on some planned investment), but Starmer has given her the opportunity to resign over something relatively minor in order to present a facade of decency and standards in public office that can be used as a stick to beat the opposition with.
  15. OK so let's say Martin stays and gets us promoted again at the end of next season. Then what? Do you want him going into another PL season with yet another very limited group of players and trying to get them playing in a way that is beyond them? RM will never change. If he stays and gets us back up again then in two years time we will simply be right back in the same position we are now: bottom of the league with a ridiculous number of largely avoidable goals conceded. Would you be happy with that?
  16. He thought the scar tissue was bad last season. Imagine what it will be like in August if we've gone down as the worst performing team in PL history.
  17. Friday night game in October 2019. Do you really need reminding? Clue: It was wet and we had a man sent off very early on.
  18. Exactly this. I was pleasantly surprised that Russ had chosen to play Onuachu yesterday, and I loved his amazing bit of showboating to escape the press of 3 or 4 Pool players at one point, but that all started back near our own box. What is the point of having that kind of presence on the pitch - someone with height and strength to hold the ball up - but not play to his strengths (by hitting early crosses to him) and expect him to come back into his own half to see any of the ball? it's just total insanity.
  19. Oooh, good guess. But only about 200 miles out* - it's Halina Rice at the Leadmill in Sheffield. * I had to Google Moor beer Vaults cos I've never heard of it, but what a cracking little venue it looks!
  20. Nope, me neither. I saw the absurd red card decision, and that was it. Couldn't bring myself to watch the rest.
  21. Oh no, I didn't realise it was Friday night. I'm going to a gig this Friday so won't be able to watch. The last time this scenario happened (same venue as well) was October 2019 😐
  22. Roll
  23. Right so even though it's come straight from the horse's mouth, you're still not having it. Okay then. I'm not defending McCarthy at all. He's a very poor keeper and I agree it was a terrible decision to play that pass, and he must take a lot of the blame for it. But - and this is the bit that you seem utterly incapable of grasping so far - why did he make that decision? For all the howlers he has made over the years with us, I don't recall "suicidal underarm pass to a marked player in his own penalty area" being in his repertoire before now. So what's changed? The answer is glaringly obvious. It's symptomatic of the way he has been asked to play by the manager (who has even admitted as much) - so the manager himself must also shoulder a lot of the blame for asking AM to play in a way in which he is not competent. It's really not rocket science.
  24. Did anyone else clock the smug look he gave when, during his MOTD interview, he arrogantly dismissed the idea that the first goal yesterday encapsulated our season? The answer you're looking for Russ is yes, it absolutely does. Because literally anybody with any understanding of football can see that it does, and the only person that can't is you. Until recently, I was in the "don't dislike the bloke and want him to succeed" camp, but now I'm firmly in the "I despise this prick and want him out of our club immediately" category.
