Hahaha, yep. Waiting for Barry and his merry cronies to tell us differently.

No thanks.

Cortese 'Considering his position'
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to The Commodore's topic in The Saints
Not allowed to talk about Glasgow, same as he isn't allowed to talk about me, an agreement I came to with the mods. Working very nicely thanks. You are extremely odd though. Why is that? -

It's a wind-up from GS. -

I don't think that's true. Liebherr had money to invest and NC was the one who pointed him towards Southampton, he'd been looking at us for another client as well. -
Cortese 'Considering his position'

I love this, 10 pages of speculation about one story, some posters thinking they are the second coming of mystic meg, Hypo accounting for half the posts and claiming he's a journalist, sex, drugs, murder, a dog ****ing a seagull, people claiming we're going to get relegated even though we're safe, MP leaving, Guly getting his 15 minutes playing time, two girls, sisters probably, I'm just watching, more forum splits between those who think NC is good and those who don't, made up quotes, Luke Shaw to leave etc. This place truly is a mongboard. Everyone calm down and wait and see. Whatever decision is made, will be well considered as these people don't get to where they are by being stupid and impulsive. -

If we do lose Cortese, fingers crossed we can get Lowe back... -
Hard decision...I think Cortese's vision was very important in our ascent to the Premier League.

Team playing well under Pochettino: MYTH
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
We stayed up with Poch, which I didn't think we'd necessarily do with Nige, so very happy. Surprised the OP has brought this thread up again because it is a bit of an embarrassment to him. -

Can't be bothered to read the thread, but I believe the only thing that they may be disagreeing on is the amount we're to spend in the Summer. The Liebherrs would be utterly mental to get rid of Cortese, he has made them A LOT of money with Saints under his stewardship. No, this seems to me to be Cortese playing some games and using the press to ensure he gets the investment he wants. -
Over-zealous Expectations...
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I think the problem is that the moaners tend to be those that display the most wumming traits, which means for the most part they are dismissed as Saints fans, you included. -
I've noticed a lot towards the end of the season a number of threads criticising the way we are playing. However, like yesterday, we are tending to dominate games, even away from home. Take yesterday for example. 65% possessiom and 19 shots to 6, away from home at a rival club. For me the only thing I can see missing is goals. So I ask, is it reasonable to expect us to dominate away games in the Premier League, or is it something that a few years of winning and winning well have spoilt us in relation to the performances expected? Personally, I think so.

Never quite fulfilled his potential at Valencia. Could be a very good signing though. -
Once went out with him and Beatts. Bridgey was a complete kn0b. Beatts was a good lad though.

We have more shots under Pochettino I heard somewhere...where's Turkish to confirm this for us?

Gaston "contacted by Fiorentina"
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to saint_disco123's topic in The Saints
It's just so damn lazy, and he just comes across as thick when he uses this sort of language. I'm trying to save him from himself. It doesn't help that his points on this thread are utter turd as well. -
Because I am. The world doesn't work like that. If he didn't own it the Liebherrs would not come to any games. The company would have changed hands, which we would all be aware of, even the Echo could use their limited journalistic skill to find that info. The fact that the Liebherrs turned the debt into equity in the form of shares, at the end of last season. Plus with the sudden death of Markus and the fact that as Cheif Exec, when he died Cortese had achieved nothing with the club and I am pretty sure something of this value wouldn't just be handed over in a will. Actually, looking at this I want to revise my statement, I'm 100% sure Cortese doesn't own the club.
