From what I was told in the Summer, Rodriguez was an 'Adkins' signing. There have been quite a few times this season when Lambert has looked dejected, and him being left out has been my main source of frustration this Season. Perhaps this was one of the reasons. Got to say none of the players seemed bothered that Adkins had left.

I don't think people are debating whether he is nice or not. I think it's pretty obvious that he is ruthless. However, is it wise to constantly slander him in public?

You're right, it is no-ones business until he uses the media outlets he works in to air his grievances. To be fair I don't know what thread all these fans have been really slagging Matt off on as I haven't seen it. You are not just either pro Cortese or pro Matt. I am not pro Cortese, I am not pro Matt, but I am pro Southampton and I can see that this tete a tete is not doing the club any good. Surely you can see that?

I'm failing to see why you're treating people who rightly (imo) are questioning the benefit in a one way slagging match in the public domain. If you can explain that then I will agree with you. I also don't think the people that have complained have been as vitriolic as you're making them out to be.

Excellent post! I don't think anyone is turning their back on MLT, he is a Southampton legend to one and all. All we want to see is some sort of truce between a club legend slagging off our CEO (whether rightly or wrongly) in public. It makes Matt look bad, Cortese look bad and the club look bad. That's not acceptable to me, so I am really hope they decide to try and sort it out. The assertions above that people are turning their back one of our most legendary players is laughable though.
