Agreed, but the various loans etc will have brought in money (whereas the money we'd have to pay for ours would be much lower, if we have to pay anything at all). It would be interesting to see how that £15m is structured over the year (eg: how much lost on a month to month basis), because potentially we may have lost less towards the end of the year. Does anyone have a link to last years accounts, I fancy a gander?

Ok, the fans that we lost this season, let's say the average drop is 3000 fans per home game (probably made up 80-20 adults, rest OAP's, kids etc), so that works out as a drop in income per match of £71400 (every 2 weeks, so a loss of 35700 a week), IF they are all paying customers and fans weren't lost due to drop in season tickets. Players whose wages we have got rid of this season through loans and free transfers cover the following (from what I can remember): - Rasiak - £10k John - £10k Lundekvam - £10k Viafara - £6k Saga - £8k Dyer - £6k Makin - £4k Idiakez - £9k Safri - £6k Wright - £4k and that's not even including: Richard Wright Chris Lucketti That Scottish player Anymore for anymore? That's £73k there, per week. Even with players we've brought in (who will not be on much money per week), that's still a potential saving of £1m a year, even with the offset loss in crowds. The fact that there are lots more players out of contract this summer on big wages may mean that currently we are breaking even. There is no way the bank would pull the plug on a company that is breaking even, even if they weren't paying back their overdraft.

To be fair that is his prerogative...

It certainly would be interesting to see the wages that have been offloaded versus the fall in attendances, and whether it is sustainable.

serious question about crowd numbers

Does anyone have a definitive list of all the players we lost during last years summer transfer window, and also a list of all the players who are out of contract this summer. I would just like to know what our likely financial status will be if we manage to stave off administration until the summer.

Why can we suddenly afford to play Saga ?

In response to money to pay off Portvliet, he resigned so no pay off needed. -
I can't remember one. At one stage I think we went through a run where we hadn't missed a penalty in 7 years or something like that (Jim Magilton was the last I think).

After he left us he's been so under-rated. He really was a first class striker for us, far more cultured than people give him credit for. Personally, for me he's a bit of a legend. Beats, Beats, Beats.

Very happy with the win, and I feel slightly vindicated especially after I was roundly criticised for the thread I started Friday. However, this is only one win and we need to build on this next week. Nice to see TDD start the thread off

Have I missed the goals?

So you don't go to watch Saints and we are winning, but Weymouth get w@nked on. Brilliant.
