Refereeing is as bad as I've seen in 40+ years of going to football. What really annoys me is the cheating and referees falling for it time and again. The dive at Arsenal, where absolutely no contact led to a penalty, versus the one at Chelsea, where (I think it was Oscar) was clearly fouled in the area, yet because he didn't cheat and tried to stay on his feet, no penalty was given.

Cork has made a massive difference to the balance of the team. Obviously the emergence of Shaw and Yoshida now being up to speed with English football.

Maybe he's on trial? Prove to us you are worth a new contract and we'll give you one! Let's face it, none of us would have been advocating it 12 months ago.

I agree with this, this is how it seemed from Kingsland North as well.

The booing of players for playing sh!t during a game is one thing but booing them before they've actually got on the pitch is unforgivable IMO.

Voted Cork, thought he was superb and had a lot of extra running to cover Morgan, who I thought had a stinker. Shaw, Clyne and Lambert were also class. Punch still flatters to deceive for me. No doubt he played well but still runs into Cul-de-Sacs and takes an extra touch, rather than passing it off or shooting.

BTW I thought he was quality when he came on.

Around me the boos were drowned out by people chanting "Guly! Guly!" in a way I supposed that may have amplified the apparent boos heard on tv.

We never seem to have anyone playing at this age group even though we regularly have players in the group a couple of years higher. Don't know whether our players mature later or we don't release them for trials until 16's level?
