  1. But the clubs he's being linked to could pay a sh!t load more!!
  2. Now maybe but Luke's been here since he was eleven. Players like that (even the likes of Bale and Walcott) have an affinity with the club, even if, as in all their cases, they don't come from the area.
  3. Getting a decent run in the team helps. He has the attributes to be a top top player and is improving all the time. Sometimes his decision making is not the best but that comes with experience.
  4. Can just hear the Skates saying that they had more in the England Squad a few years ago (not mentioning they were all established England internationals when they signed them and one of them made his England debut whilst playing for us).
  5. Wasn't expecting JayRod but would have been massively disappointed if Lallana hadn't been in. He might actually get a game this time.
  6. I really don't know where our arrogance has come from. For a club that has won a staggering ONE major trophy in our entire history, we need to take every competition seriously.
  7. I Posted this in General Sports because first and foremost it is a sports documentary. It's called "Slammin' Sam" and follows the story of Sam Burgess and his 3 brothers who all play rugby league in Australia's NRL for Russell Crowe's South Sydney Rabittohs. It also tells the story of their father, who they all idolised and his losing battle to Motor Neuron Disease. Now I follow rugby league avidly and am currently thoroughly enjoying the world cup (in which 3 of the Burgess brothers are representing England). However, more poignantly My brother-in-law was diagnosed with MND in February. There is no cure and a grim diagnosis. The documentary for me was very personal. However, if you know nothing about RL or MND, I think anybody who takes the time to watch it will find it inspirational and be moved to close to tears. Let me know what you think. http://bit.ly/1h05d5R More info about MRD can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/mndassociation
  8. I don't think we have to worry about Boruc's pressing game. To be honest we could have played without a keeper at all yesterday, for all he had to do.
  9. Had the feeling that he felt so sorry for Fulham, he gave them as many decisions as possible to try and make a game of it.
  10. Young has lost his way in the last season or so but that's not to say he couldn't become a decent player again, in the right team, under the right coaches.
  11. All you need is Lovren! All you need is Lovren! All you need is Lov' Lov' Lovren's all you need!
  12. Would actually prefer the old Rueben Agboola "Jacky Wilson" chant tbh!
  13. Blimey, I know we plummeted 2 places down the league over the weekend but that is a tad pessimistic, even for you!
  14. Just thinking aloud. Maybe we've been on Moneysavingexpert.com and switched lenders for the same charge, like I'm sure most of you do with your mortgage?
  15. I think it's a straight fight between Rickie and Carroll. I think we'll take 4 out and out strikers; Rooney, Sturbridge, Wellbeck and one of Lambert or Carroll. If we are take 5, then it will be the same equation with Defoe added.
  16. Maybe Rowe (or whoever) is thought to be the long term solution but not ready yet? Do. you not think a short term loan, a good idea in those circumstances?
  17. http://bwinbetting.com/leagues/premier-league/southampton-shrewd-loan-choice-man-utds-newcastle-target-zaha,46568.html
  18. Don't be ridiculous. Benali had a better pass rate than that.
  19. Tbf there were plenty who said we should offload both Lallana and Schneiderlin when we were on our way down to and in L1.
  20. I think Poch is having trouble fitting all the pieces into the jigsaw. Lallana's form has meant the 'No. 10' position is not available to him and he has already changed the formation to accommodate Osvaldo. Gaston is never going to be a work horse or a holding midfielder and I can't really see him playing wide either. Until Lallana has a dip in form or an injury, his game time is going to remain limited. £12m is a lot for a covering player, it just depends that if he is off loaded, who is the likely replacement?
  21. Sterling was terrible the other night against the might of San Marino. What makes anyone think he'll be better against the full Polish defence? Nathan Redmond would have been a much better choice under that criteria.
  22. I remember some on here suggesting Morgan and Adz weren't good enough for our L1 team let alone regularly playing well in the Prem.
  23. May be the club are negotiating with another provider?
  24. Peachy's bit!! http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/2/8943090/pochettino-has-faith-in-lambert
  25. To everyone except the organising committee, apparently!! The whole thing has been a farce from start to finish. Good old Blatter.
