Important we win this. Not because it's Manyoo but 58 points will equal the Skates "team they couldn't afford" best Prem performance. We'll beat it on goal difference.
I didn't like the bloke and disliked a lot of his methods but I don't think anyone could say he didn't do a bloody good job. Much of that salary will have been performance related agreed when Markus was still alive. I hope Kreuger is at least half as successful in achieving his goals. If he is we're going to be alright!
The penalty last night, where the ball seemed to settle into a dent on the pitch, reminded me a bit of the Frannie Lee one at the baseball ground where the spot had disappeared all together in a sea of mud and the groundsman had to come out and re-measure and paint it.
To be fair. Wickham is a decent player, who until now has found it hard living up to his "wonder kid" billing. This World Cup is too soon for him but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the England squad in the future.
Lallana has now been named in the divisional teams for 3 different leagues in 4 years. Unlikely going to do the fourth (unless a big money move to the Skates is on the cards).
Remember, this is voted by by fellow professionals. The players that play against him, week in, week out have obviously seen something in him. I'm a little surprised he's in ahead of Baines.
Anyone else hear 606 a few weeks back when a listener phoned in to suggest Corky should be in the squad? That complete Bellend Savage berated him as if it was the most ridiculous suggestion ever!
Thought Clyne and the midfield 3 were immense. Hodgeson, who seems to have a St. Mary's season ticket these days, couldn't fail to be impressed with Clyne or Corky.
Think I'd use Shaw LMF to give us more pace going forward, sadly lacking since JRod's injury. Clyne at LB and they could double up on Colman, when he comes forward.
