Whilst at Saints, 'Shev' was on a student visa and therefore couldn't play for anybody apart from the Academy. At that time he was Ukranian and had no chance of getting a UK working visa. I think the original idea was to loan him out to Bohemians so that he could gain an Irish visa allowing him to also work here but that loophole was closed. Now of course he is Latvian (by adding a 'S' to both his forename and his surname) and an EU citizen, therefore entitled to work anywhere in Europe.

I think Rupes does a decent job at that!

Any improvement on last season would be good but I think top 10 could be achievable. I voted top half because I can't see us being able to get into the play-off positions.

Then again, it sort of reminds me of the Nicholl era when Dodd, Kenna, MLT, Shearer and Rod Wallace all broke into the team at the same time.

I think our poor pundit rating may work in our favour. Instead of dross teams coming to St Mary's packing defence and midfield, hoping to frustrate and catch us on the break, they may fancy their chances and actually come to play, which in turn will give us more room to play our football.

I was at the Keepmoat last Sunday. It's a small, compact but really impressive stadium with large concourses and really well marshalled bars. Loads of parking around the complex but seems to be only one road in and out, so takes ages to get out after the game.

Me too! . A tad optimistic I'd say but I can see us drawing all 3.
