Absolutely amazes me how people write off the League Cup. One of only two trophies we have a realistic chance of winning (which we have never won in our history). Must be the 'Sky' generation, who have no feel for the history of football and winning money for finishing as an also ran in the Premier League is more important than adding to our overflowing trophy cabinet that has the grand total of ONE major trophy in it!!

Kevin Phillips. Sure that was one of the reasons we signed him. The same could be said of Rickie Lambert after THAT cup tie at Bristol Rovers with dumb and dumber in charge.

Well we're a quarter of the way to safety and for the second season running not having to play catch-up. I'd say we are similar in strength to last season but whether that is good enough to match last season's achievements is debatable. I do think though, Koeman will prove to be an even better manager than Poch and if we can keep hold of him, Morgan and J-Rod and add in January and again in the closed season then we definitely have a chance to challenge for the Europa Cup places and the knock out cup competitions.

I would think they would want to be part of the Euros bid that is coming up so probably would have to be over 40,000 for that.
