They have similar ones at half-time during the Flybe penalty shoot out. I thought they should actually place them behind the goals during the game because there's more danger of getting hurt by footballs than the slim chance they might end up in the back of the net!!

Just edited it for you!!

We have absolutely no chance of signing Cork permanently and I have my own doubts on whether we will be able to extend his current loan.

Why are we continuing to defend the away fans end in the second half.
krissyboy31 replied to derry's topic in The Saints
I do think it makes more sense to attack the 'hardcore' home support in the second half (especially when you are chasing the game). Granted, it was better when the Itchen North corner was open but to have the Northam, blocks 3 and 4 of the Itchen and blocks 34 and 35 of the Kingsland cheering you on has got to have more affect than billy no mates on the Chapel and the Family Centre. -
What evidence have you seen of jans management skills?
krissyboy31 replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I think that is exactly the point. The likes of Saggy Chops, Big Sam Allardyce and even Alex Ferguson do not really get involved with the coaching side at their clubs. They have teams of respected coaches around them. Their success is because they are man-managers, motivators and organisers and most importantly have a massive understanding of English football, the league in which they participate and the opposition they will encounter. They have dossiers on the teams, their players, the systems they play, their strengths and their weaknesses. Now, I wouldn't want Saggy Chops, don't like Big Sam and I don't think Sir Alex is available. But our only hope of surviving the drop is to get in a proper manager. -
Lazy, overated but could score a goal every 2 games. As opposed to DMG, lazy overated and score 1 in 5!!! Erm?
-
No. Definately the Potter's Heron.
-
Agreed. Top player coming to the end of his career but gave everything every game and was as gutted as anyone when we were relegated.
-
Amen to all that!! I just want to feel excited about going to games, not trepidation. I want to be proud of MY football team, the one I've loved and supported for nearly 40 years, not embarrased. Unforetunately, while Lowe, Wilde, Askham and Crouch are in the picture, it aint gonna happen!

Those are coaching skills, not management skills. He may well be a decent coach but a goddamn awful manager. -
The Forest Board have been decisive and sacked Calderwood before the window opens and while they still have time to turn their season around. They were rewarded with a win to take them out of the bottom 3. Derby have now parted company with Jewell tio try and arrest their slump. Meantime we dither and dither allowing Poortvleit to take us closer to the drop with every game. We need to act now, otherwise League One (Div 3) football is inevitable.

What spin will the OS put on the Reading game then?
krissyboy31 replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Not at all! JP, thought we were the better team and deserved something out of the game!! Sounded exactly like Burley last season. -

Trouble is, last home game we were outplayed by the worse team in the league and according to JP and the OS, unlucky. -
Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best LM
krissyboy31 replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Dave Armstrong, John Sydenham, Tommy Jenkins, Rodney Wallace, Chris Marsden and Neal Heaney, in that order. -
I don't believe him. I think is priority is a team making pretty patterns with their passing (I was going to say 'all over the field' but it goes to pot on the final third).

So now Lowe says we couldn't afford Pearson!!!!!!!!
krissyboy31 replied to um pahars's topic in The Saints
If you think winning ONE home game in half a season is "doing an excellent job" then, quite frankly, you are deluded. -
Good to see you back FF. This forum has been all the poorer since you and certain others, decided to no longer post.

In fairness (and I'm not in any way advocating that the installation of the Dutch experiment was correct, because I think it was fatally flawed), we have dispensed of Dodd Gorman and Webster, in addition to NP. -
And so say all of us!!!.....We me anyway!!

Couldn't of summed it up better myself. He's begining to look more like Trousers' avitar with every game.

I don't think he's particularly either and I think he is doing the job to the best of his abilities. Unforetunately he his out of his depth and his best isn't good enough. Not for this club in this league!

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best CMs.
krissyboy31 replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
This is my bug-bear with these polls. MLT to me never really played CMF. Most of his career was spent in a free role infront of the midfield and behind the strikers (sort of "in the hole" but behind 2 strikers). I wouldn't pick him in CMF above Ball, Case, Williams, Gabriel, Holmes or Horne but he needs to be in team somewhere. -
We wouldn't be able to offer him a quarter of the wages he is currently on. The Skates are haemoraging money because of the contracts Saggy Chops negotiated.

Jimmy Case and Alan Ball. Best by far!! -
Exactly. And I wrote to Crouch and told him what a complete d!ck he was for doing so.
