Me too, unforetunately.

Seems to be more sensible ideas on selection and team formation on here, than are coming from the management team.
-
Yes, but that is all speculation, bullsh!t or speculative bullsh!t anyway.
-
He could have said that he does not comment on speculation, like every other manager we have had, has. He could have qualfied that with the fact that we have had no bids or enquiries about any of our players. To say nobody will be leaving is just asking for trouble IMO.

Exactly how I saw it and it's about time certain individuals at the club took their heads out of the sand.

Surely we're not that far from having a decent team

We need to loan a few players with pace, especially if Dailly is coming in. I don't know what sort of pace Molyneux has but James for a full-back is sooo slow (Nani didn't have to get out of second gear to ease past him, yesterday). A pacy right-back and a pacy centre-foward, along with an experienced centre-back. Then changing to 442 (at least at home) and becoming more direct, then we may just have a chance. -
We may not be successfull but we can be organised. Our players can be coached to control and pass the ball, have positional awareness, mark at set pieces, find room in the opponents box when we are attacking and above all give 100% effort. I can't believe that we are getting the best out of the players that we have and therefore we need a coach and a manager that can. It is still not too late to get a mid-table finish but that is dependant on getting rid of the inept Dutch trio.

Do you really think the club cares about or even reads the 'cyber gossip'?

Why say anything in the first place?

I don't buy this bit. Most of the stick in the past WAS justified, just as most of the praise he is currently receiving is. KD had some terrible games in his first few seasons and in his position, mistakes nearly always lead to conceding goals. This season he has been inspirational and with Jack Cork gone, is miles ahead in the player of the season stakes. Fair play for the way he has turned things around. Mind you, he does get a awful lot of practice!!

OMG, if this is true we will have the oldest and slowest CB pairing in the history of football.
-
That is not the point, everybody expected Saints to get stuffed (probably by more goals actually). The point is, it was a limp and uninspiring performance. Poor passing, poor control and poor tackling. This team we keep being told, play good incisive passing football. Well we didn't put a string of more than 2 passes together all game. I expected that at least we would give it a good go and give a reasonable account of ourselves and actually enjoy playing against the best team in the world. Our lot couldn't wait to get rid of the ball as if it were a hot potato. Let's be honest, that if it hadn't been for KD, Rudi and CP and some pretty average finishing the score would have been a complete and utter embarrassment. God do we need a PROPER manager and fast!!
-
The thing is, there were 4,200 Man U fans directly behind the goal and no cry of 'HAND BALL!!' when the ball deflected of the wall. I would have thought that would have told Riley all he needed to know about whether it was a penalty or not

Not for Stoke or Man City.

Looked like a rabbit stuck in the headlights today.

The only "difficult times" we gave them were when Davis and Perry kept getting in the way of their shots.

The Official Saints Web "He Could Do A Good Job For Us" Thread
krissyboy31 replied to Chez's topic in The Saints
After watching Gillingham, Simeon Jackson could certainly do a job for us. -
This is all true but I expect any player we put out onto the pitch to be able to pass the ball, control the ball be able to tackle and put 100% effort into the game. I saw none of that today and if you can't get up for playing against the World Club Champions, then frankly they should find themselves another profession.
-
We were so poor today it was unbelievable. Couldn't string 2 passes together and couldn't tackle toffee. No pace, no passion, no clue. None of our players could get into their 5th team. Only KD came out of that with any credit. It was an absolute stroll in the park for them and an embarrassment to watch. The only positive is that Man U could only be bothered to score 3.

Although this has been done to death over the last few years, they stated on Solent yesterday that the club's lawyers were looking into whether we were due any money from this transfer. So although unlikely to be much, we may get something.

According to Sky Text Rooney and Ronaldo are set to start. Tevez at home in Argentina though!
