  1. The point is, if you're going to take the sh!t, be sure that what you're taking is what you think it is.
  2. My god, Illingsworth even got himself into that report.
  3. A truce/ceasefire in the boardroom MAY lead to the same in the fanbase and persuade the stayaway fans or at least some of them, to get back inside the stadium and support the team. In turn a more positive atmosphere should help the teams performance (in theory).
  4. Saw the clip on Meridian and they were mixed fans teams and finished 5-1. Slightly biased reporting from the News, it seems.

    RIP car

So this thread has gone from cars to mini-buses and coaches. In that case I'm sure their are loads of stories from the days Clive Foley used to run his coaches (if you could call them that). I remember the time we broke down twice on the way to St Andrews (got as far as Chandlers Ford the first time, if I'm not mistaken). Got to the gound just in time to see the second goal in a 3-0 win. Also, breaking down in Anfield coach park after a 6-0 drubbing and all having to get out and push.
  6. He'd just come back under another username, again.
  7. The same could be said for David Lloyd at Hull who took both City and Hull FC down the pan but both are doing alright now.
  8. I would understand if the idea was to lay roses on Ruperts seat so that when he sat down he'd get thorns up his @rse but don't see the significance of this at all.
  9. Palace fans don't see themselves as attractive, these days, They could only muster 12,000 for the Birmingham game.
  10. Every team sang it and I bet that unless you were a Derby, Leicester or County fan, nobody knew why. It managed to wind them up though when you played Forest but they had a decent retort of "And Nottingham Forest hate you, you b@stards!"
  11. The Leeds situation was somewhat different, in that Ken Bates was one of the largest creditors and he got the club for a song on the proviso that debt was wiped. Lowe could do the same but first he would have to loan the money to pay off the overdraft and a substantial amount of the stadium debt first. Can't see that happening!
  12. For me, the football rivalry is secondary to the city one. I can't stand anything to do with P*rtsm*uth. It really ****ed me off when all of a sudden it started appearing on the BBC weather maps, when both the BBC and the Met Office have their regional offices in Southampton.
  13. Bernard Tapie caused Olympique Marseilles to be relegated due to a match fixing scandal. I don't know if Rudi was playing for them then but he don't half pick them with Romanov and Lowe.
  14. It can't be Apologies. Rupert doesn't apologise for anything.
  15. Looks like it might kick off again tomorrow with Mike Richards 'hitting back' at Wiseman's article in the Echo. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/
  16. More like,
  17. Well, they've still got Nigel Adkins as their manager so I presume they play pretty much the same way. Obviously, they don't have Cork this season, who was their PoY last season but they are doing pretty well (in the playoff places) and could end up passing us, on the way to promotion.
  18. I think they meant one spot for the MP/Council Member.
  19. I think most of us would agree to disagree with the Trust over this. I quite like the representation of SCC and the Professional CEO and don't even mind Andrew Cowen being part of the interim solution. However, Lowe, Wilde and Crouch would never work together and most, if not all of the fan base is at least anti one, if not all 3 of these. The Trust member is pie in the sky and just going over the same old trodden path and I don't want to see Dave Teflon Jones part of any solution, either.
  20. Why would he? We would have finished 4th from bottom in stead of 5th.
